Philip's biggest mistakes - You fucked up

Just a thread to talk about Phil's biggest mistakes, may they be about life in general, his love life or financial misteps.

As far as the quality of his "content" go.
Ever since he started streaming with the chat on, his content really became worst and boring (somehow). To me, it's the day classic Phil died, no more 2 hours quest to crouch jump, MGS2 or blind Dark Souls playthrough. All we get now is long ass prestreams, him constantly looking at the chat/giving shout out and seeing his face and sweaty armpits.

His Youtube channel is dying/stagnating, thanks to his unwillingness to adapt.
He might say he's doing well on Twitch (as far as tips and cheers go because they're the only thing that matters to him) but he can't reach the view numbers he use to get before he left it for a year. We're witnessing a man who bet everything on this but can't be bothered to work and adapt to be successful. One day, the paypigs will run dry and the EMERGENCIES won't cover for his mistakes then.

His stubbornness with changing is totally his biggest obstacle. That, and his unwillingness to just accept that his niche is being a shitty gamer with shitty reactions. I would be willing to bet that if he embraced that aspect of his kahntent, and just do the bitter and entitled gamer, and make it a character...all the while having a more regular Phil during his other shtreems, he'd get more views and such. And, if he would leverage his YouTube subscribers more by putting up short "Hay dood, I'm shtreeming" videos before doing his twitch stuff, he'd have more going on for himself.

Optimistic as fuck, but realistic.

Fapping on stream is probably the biggest mistake. At first he was denying it but once Keemstar got a wind of it, he changed his tune.

DSP is a special kind of shitty person who, despite being an asshole to everyone, being completely unlikeable and detestable, and being an absolute, wretched failure at everything he attempts he does genuinely make the world a better place. I enjoy laughing at Phil's failures.

Real answer, anything involving Leanna. She was way out of Phil's league at the best of times, and he basically fucked up a good thing. I don't really like Leanna, or find her particularly attractive, but she was way better than DSP could reasonably expect.

I think this is the moment a lot people, even some of his hardcore fans, had their opinion sour on Phil.

I also think he should regret talking about the infamous Wolverine toy, since people still make fun of him about that to this day.

The biggest mistake Phil ever made was telling people to click on his ads causing Google to shitcan him from their adsense program. That started it all going downhill.

That, and oversharing.

Showing off his girlfriend (face, name whatever) was a bad idea but he just had to show he wasn't a perma virgin.

He apparently had a different account on youtube that was making more money, but then he explained how that worked, but he didn't know he wasn't allowed to do that.

Google permabanned that account. I honestly think it should have been merely temporary, a full permaban was a little much, since hey may have legitimately not known.

Oh and his fallout with Machinima I think it was.

Shitting on his friends when they were open to talking things out if he'd own up to his actions (which lolno it's Phil he won't). And then having the nerve to talk about how John and Howard betrayed and hurt him so badly by talking about the times he had mistreated them. (When their whole point in the end was Phil should act his age and just talk to them again!)

Nah he specifically said in a few videos he wasn't allowed to tell people to click on the ads, then later on told people to click on the ads (click fraud), then got permabanned.

He then proceeded to say he's not allowed to make a new AdSense account and claim he wasn't going to violate that rule. He then made multiple new AdSense accounts.

Deciding that the best way to record a video game was to use a camera and point it at the screen at an angle. And by extension I would say doing YouTube at least after the money started drying up. He apparently paid off a ton of shit with the heyday money and if he moved on to a new job (or at least tried to) he would've been back in the job market years ago and making stable money instead of relying on whatever blood he can squeeze off of strangers from the internet.

From a financial, business standpoint... not embracing TIHYDP when it started and kidnapping leanna from her parents and moving to washington, into a mansion.
From a personal side? REEEemergency video, shilling out his one and only supporters health issues. That totally zeroed him as a human being.

It is not a problem now, but technically being unemployed for 8 years isn't going to help him down the road. I'm not one of those people who think Phil will fall any day now, but it will happen eventually and having a 10+ year gap in your resume which you explain by saying "I just wanted to play games and have fun" will not be well received.

Not knowing when to shut the fuck up. Coulda saved him from getting kicked off blip, coulda (possibly) saved him from ruining his relationship with leanna, coulda saved him from getting kicked off machinima, coulda saved him a shitton of mocking...really the list goes on and on.

Spending all of his early Machinima cash on collector's editions and figurines has got to be up there. It's also indicative of his behaviour whenever he gets money to spend, he spunks it on the most retarded shit, e.g. expensive holidays to a city 30 miles away.
