Sorry for the blurry pics, little guy is so tiny my camera refused to focus. It's been a little under four weeks since I saved a clutch of Cope's gray tree frog eggs from my pool. Today my first froglet pop his front legs and took his first foray onto land. Still have over twenty more waiting to get their front and some even back legs.
Plus have a second clutch of over a hundred tadpoles two weeks behind these guys.

I've been checking on the little ones every hour or so. Three more have popped out their front legs and been moved into the set up I've prepared for them. They have yet to come out of the water. The one that was out earlier apparently found terrestrial life a bit too overwhelming and returned to the "pond" with the others.
He looks cute as all get out! always scary to find frogs in your pool, poor little dudes always think its a pond.

Is this forum aware of froge kidnapping? This is a VERY serious topic that should be discussed one day, below is a horrifying example of froge kidnapping. If you ever experience a froge kidnapping please call the local authority's and try to describe the perpetrator as best you can! Goodnight friends, and stay safe!

Don't mind him, he's just sitting on a stick practising his camouflage.
Fun fact, dispite being called GRAY tree frogs this species can range in coloration from all most white to gray to green to nearly black. What's even cooler is that no one individual has a fixed color but rather they are able to change color based off of the temperature or their surroundings.

In other news, so far all but two have left the water, and today they turn four weeks old. We celebrated by going online and buying them a culture of fruit flys and the vitamins they're going to need to grow big(ish) and strong.

As for the younger clutch, they also had a "birthday" today, turning two weeks old. They are crazy ravenous for their fish pellets. I like to joke that they are more ant then tabpole because during feeding time they remind me of a cluster if ants swarming a drop of ice cream.

Little heads up so that if any one here finds themselves raising frogs they don't have to learn the hard way like i did, don't put your babies on a soil type substrate until they are much bigger. I sadly lost several when their tiny body's got covered in the pete moss and they sufficated due to not being able to absorb oxygen through their skin. I've now replaced the moss with damp paper towel, fingers cross tight the rest make it.
With that downer out of the way here's the adorableness.
