Oh geez, it's almost like a bunch of people just wanted to defend a guy they liked who still had very questionable actions but just want to sweep it under the rug. The hypocrisy she's showing is honestly mystifying when you compare her words on Cosmodore and then Spoctor. I feel like if someone where to bring up these points either Ponder would say Cosmo's the more troubling of the two by being the legal adult while Spoctor was still a minor (Mind you he was 16-17 during some of these claim I believe) and deserves more leeway all while either ignoring of denouncing the claim of Spoctor having this tween porn on a hard drive. The second possible response would be pure silence as not to actually bring more attention to these problems or just saying it's trolls from Kiwifarms lying and misunderstanding everything.Ok, then I hope i'm allowed to mention all this.

Ponder got featured on a DaftPina video talking about Cosmodore getting exposed as a groomer, and I noticed a couple things.
1. Around the 3:35 mark of DaftPina's video, Ponder talks about how Cosmodore's visibility in the art reviewer community gives him more power over the anonymous victim Cosmo was grooming, but I went back to her videos about Spoctor, Ponder never uses this line of reasoning. She frequently rehashes the argument that it's the alleged victim's fault for not saying they didn't want what Spoctor was asking for.
2. Ponder calls out Cosmo at 6:00 for deleting potentially incriminating Discord chat channels in a private server made (i believe) after the news broke, and describes it as "a sign of Ill-intent, In one of the videos Ponder covers in her second video debunking the Spoctor allegations with facts & logic, someone shows that Spoctor wiped the DM conversation containing evidence of her claims, and Ponder pussyfoots around it and raises the goal-posts to that it somehow wouldn't count as evidence and mocks her for even THINKING it would work against him.
3. She calls out Cosmo for leaving out vital things about his actions in initial posts on twitter & youtube about what he had done, but if @SpergPatrol, the editor that a lot of their information is coming from & Mannis are to be believed (and I do believe them), Ponder left out Spoctor owning a hard-drive full of tween nudes and the related sexual encounters with the age gap of about 4 years, A YEAR SHORTER THAN THE AGE-GAP THAT COSMO AND HIS VICTIM HAD.
4. At the tail end of the video, Cosmo makes a comment about wanting to get in contact with a 16-year old LS Mark, a popular animation youtuber. With what we know now about Cosmo, it's right to say that this could be an attempt at grooming; but in Ponder's first video about Spocter, an accusation pops up recalling Spoctor telling a minor to masturbate as a coping mechanism (they were 13, and he specifically uses the term "learning how to" when discussing it.) Ponder brushes it off as a joke.
This is blatant favoritism. We already knew about the hard-drive and what Ponder and co. (including PK) knew about it, but I personally think this is a good indicator of the level she was willing to protect him over it, and I don't even think this is the first time she's done it, but that's a whole other discussion.
Ironically, this is the exact opposite of an defense. Kids develop mentally more rapidly the younger they are. It's like nobody remembers not wanting to play with their cousin that was only 2 or 3 years youngger than them, or being that cousin. Thinking the kids in just a grade below you were cringe? There's such a gap in maturity in even just 1 year, a normal 17 year old would think a 13 year old kid is annoying as fuck and impossible to be around.

There's just objectively more difference between a 17 year old and a 13 year old than there is between a 21 year old and a 17 year old. They're worlds apart and people completely neglect this just because they both start with a 1.

I might make a long infodump post about some of the bullshit she says in those videos but I'd have to see what else comes up + if it'd fit the criteria of this thread.

Hell, people who work in this field know this, that's why they add older adolescents in the range of pedophilia. Note it's criteria.

Yoyo calls this "White knighting" but there's a weirdly pseudo-cult tone to it, especially when the video itself actively tries painting the streamer in question as mentally unwell for not liking Junkie due to his experiences.
I remember the YoYo and Simply Dad shit. I used to watch Simply Dad cause I thought he was good and I liked his voice, his video on the big da commentators I thought was pretty telling and then I remember how all of them did tear into him and YoYo. I think Ponder or someone tried to use a clip of YoYo saying she had a crush on or found Simply Dad attractive to try and say she was somehow white knighting him and tossing Junkie to the side. Man, with comments like these, how could anyone be upset that you make videos targeting children?
Ponder's video was pretty heavy on victim-blaming & defending the dA youtuber scene at all costs.
She starts out the video bitching about two other youtubers who came out with their experiences, and I'll try relaying the information as best as i can because as I wrote this out it dawned on me how fucked up it all was.
One video from Yoyo3639, now known as izzebizze, describes a "Every man for himself" social hierarchy where the big boy youtubers (Spoctor, Junkie, some others) basically carry themselves around as if they're an authority, or "know everything" by her words, even calling them "savages". This isn't questioned by Yoyo's account, giving them an unearned position in the internet social ladder, rife with double standards concerning who can do what (specifically, big no nos that smaller ranters get shit for that bigger ranters get to do without question.)
This is followed up by showing Junkie advocating for a girl to get ripped apart by a commenator named Autumn Kohai (no longer affiliated) because she was critical of what she thought was gate-keeping as Junkie has/had a tendency to be in the comments of ranters & talk big game about how so and so didn't fly with "The Community", this was after Junkie featured the ranter in a top 5, albeit a lot had time had past between this & that (It's in junkie's original OC style). At best, this looks like Junkie cheering on someone getting potentially bombed with hate because of earnest criticism, and at worst, it's a hit job.
You might've seen Doodletones' shitty defense video of Junkie that came out after this video, and I think it actually proves Yoyo right on somethings. Doodletones shows that this shit came from Ponder Sprocket's discord server, which is how I know it's Autumn who was to commentate on her. (I imagine behavior like Junkie's isn't uncommon, but only inside sources can tell.), and acts like that vindicates Junkie, but not once does Junkie really own up and apologize to it, he just goes "I mean sure I sent out a mafia assassination on this litcheral child but she owes me bc i was nice to her like, years ago ;(".
I think you can understand how dishonest she's being.
She then goes on a tangent about how seedy & underhanded Yoyo is, but I think someone who roleplays robot children getting rape doesn't get a say in morals. Not only that, The only reason the video got made was because the ranter in question had already disowned the video, not bc of anything Junkie had to do. This directly contrasts his friendly, kind persona, which Yoyo is happy to point out.
Back to the video, Yoyo discusses how that nice, cheery persona combined with his YouTube popularity made it feel like she HAD to be friends with him, and when Yoyo made a video singing mild praises of the YouTuber "Simply Dad" (who's the second video that Ponder bitches at, we'll get to it later), Junkie got angry at Yoyo and apparently said "I don't approve of what your doing." and treating Yoyo like a young daughter of his, by her words. Yoyo rightfully calls it out as manipulative, but I think it ought to be noted how a personality like Junkie might lend itself well to abuse scenarios. You have this insanely charismatic, popular person that people seem to be PULLED towards, and behind the scenes he's doing shit like this? I don't know if he's for sure an abuser or that he will end up being exposed for it, but it's behavior that isn't ok and doesn't lend well to it.
Yoyo then describes Junkie cutting off almost ALL social grace he had with her. He stopped plans to collaborate, and refused to mention her either on Twitter or YouTube, basically giving her the silent treatment over a jealous desire of not being able to control who she hanged out with.
PKRussl's editor, Feghost, reacted in a similar way, decrying Yoyo & Simply Dad as trash and apparently threatening suicide, something shown to be a repeating thing through Twitter. I don't know if Feg's tweet was them leveraging suicide, but when it was aimed around Yoyo & Co., it definitely is. You might know Feghost as being complicit with protecting PK from the CP accusations & apparently admitting to a rape (it's somewhere in the thread).
Yoyo then hypothesizes that because of these top creators (Junkie's named explicitly) attacking people and having their cronies attcking people, nobody makes rants on these people due to the backlash they face. I can attest to this because the video Simply Dad made isn't even up anymore, and has what feels like hundreds of (shitty videos) attacking him. Yoyo then recounts a content creator making a stream speaking out about her unpleasant experiences with several top content creators, and then shows an example of a video made in response of this attacking her and accusing her of being a troll, showing a portion of the video where the content creator in question goes "Junkie just cares about everyone
This is where Junkie's behavior starts to worry me. Characterizing an opposition, or what you see as an opposition, as mentally unwell IS abuse, by every regard. Calling people autistic or retarded is one thing, and you can have that discussion about if it's right all you want, but actively painting someone as someone who needs to get mental help to "cure" (lack of a better word) this opinion you don't like and waving it away through that while gushing about how much you want to fuck your community figurehead is troublesome at BEST. If Junkie has ever made this behavior develop in his fanbase & this isn't some random woman spouting off, than it's DEFINITELY something caused by him, and I'll personally blame him for it. The streamer deleted their video after this video came out, so we can definitely tell that these things had an effect on them to some extend. Yoyo describes it as being "bullied into silence".
Yoyo then implies that this behavior is CERTAINLY not exclusive to Junkie, and while we definitely know Spoctor, Ponder, and PK have skeletons in the closet, This part of the video makes me worry there are more manipulators in the woodworks than she lets on here. She then shows devotees to the community spamming Simply Dad on twitter, which shows that this isn't any old rivalry we're talking about, and it's surely only stopped now that these people have called them out, going on to cite "Exclusive, hidden discord servers." that have things go on that the majority of people wouldn't know about. We don't really know what this means, but I'm assuming repeats of what we see with Junkie & Co. The video basically ends here.
Simply Dad's video is now gone, no doubt due to harassment from the community, but I definitely remember some key things.
- Simply recalls Spoctor Theory threatening to make a video ending the career of Simply for criticizing him, as well as talking BIG shit on twitter. The video never got made. This is in line with Spoctor generally just not having a backbone (Only talking shit about Penta & Stories after the debacle happened, using Junkie as a proxy to talk shit instead of just thinking of his own words which i'm GONNA fucking get to because HOLY shit.
- Notes how often it is that children get sucked into this
- Corroborates Yoyo's claims of Junkie's gatekeeping
The Spoctor / Junkie thing I have to let loose on real quick: Junkie had the bright Idea to add PENTAGRIN (one of the original accusers FYI) to his "Ranters Gone But Not Forgotten" series, where he just yadayada's about old ranters, and he made two videos about Stories & Pentagrin. Stories lied about her age & did admittedly use some underhanded tactics that, while looking back don't automatically destroy the case for Spoctor being a predator, definitely was enough for people to buy Ponder's crock. Pentagrin, by Junkie's own admission (admittedly through his co-op partner but he uploaded the video & was fine with it so still) was the type to follow Stories every word as gospel, and the evidence that Ponder shows that claim that penta knew is minor from what I've seen. (She even shows Pentagrin pre-accusation that she thought Stories) was 8.
I think Penta was unironically dumb enough to believe Stories was 8 and went along with it because she was a friend and was duped by Stories' wannabe Kokichi Ouma bullshit. Now why is that important? Because both Stories & Pentagrin got videos in this series. There's minor shit that irks me (Ponder being given idol treatment mainly) but the meat of these videos give me a migraine.
Stories' video is the one with the good faith arguments. There's no edgy larping, there's few screamy shout matches, they give the main puppetmaster a fair and balanced (well, as fair & balanced as these weebs can be) look at what she did. You wanna know what Pentagrin got?
In the first part of the video, He rattles off a bunch of unrelated bullshit about how much of an idiot she is about unrelated art crap, liking knowing insufficient disney trivia (yes he really does this) is some sort of indicator of how shitty of a person she is. Y'know, if Junkie really cared about her as a friend, you'd think he wouldn't be a yes man about it & pocket it for when it's acceptable in the community's eyes to make fun of her.
He screams about how they planned this since january of last year, which is true but doesn't automatically mean Penta knew Stories was lying, and cries about how she lives in a bubble where she thinks what she did was right & just, (which is true that she stuck by her guns as shown in tumblr DMs but you'd think that make you realize that she did honestly believe Stories, but also OH THE FUCKING HYPOCRISY) and, and this is what really upsets me; He does a shitty little screenplay of "Pentagrin" and "Spoctor" acting out Bojack FUCKING HORSEMAN scenes, where PENTAGRIN is the comparison to Bojack. You know, not the active manipulator in Stories, not the egotistical pedophile in Spoctor, PENTAGRIN is the person most like BOJACK HORSEMAN. The manipulative pedophile who LITERALLY PLAYS PARTS IN PEOPLE'S DEATHS. Even if i'm wrong & Penta actually knew, why does he give Stories the good faith video and Penta the utter garbage fire she got? Why does he feel comfortable passing morale judgement when we now know all the down & dirty shit Ponder & co. did, the chick that Junkie treats like a moral higher up? It's so goddamn scummy & depressing.
I agree with you on Simply dad being a pretty good content creator. I'm glad he moved away from general commentary videos and onto videos about the smt/persona franchise. He's the only one that truly got out unscathed.
Too bad he turned out to be some kind of calf himself. He went through a breakup and then started saying a girl who was well within his age group groomed and raped him at 17 or some shit, I think all the drama from obnoxious server raids got to his head.
...One of Ponder's defenses for Spoctor was, I shitst thou not, that it's OK to have sexual conversations with minors because she has sexual conversations and jokes with Dulu. He was about 15 at the time while Ponder was 23-25. She also had him acting with her on twitter harassing Yoyo with graphically sexual remarks until she broke down crying.
I believe it was removed after being reported. However, while looking for it I found the same exact phrase used by her at least once in the same timeframe and you definitely start to see why the crew was so ruffled about the claims of underage kids drawing Spoctor porn:
I thought Ponder Sprocket was supposed to be Empty-Brooke's original characters from one of her comic projects? I always separated the creator from the character, mostly because of how overly-sexual Ponder would act in her videos and other videos the character would cameo in (like in this one*), which I wouldn't see as appropiate in any other sort of context.
This, and if memory serves, this was true to such an extent that people unfamiliar with her comics (read: most people) thought that the character was meant to be her, and assumed that she was...black? Even though the character was meant to be desi.
