Are there any trainer encounters triggered after you've beaten hard fights mid route (like a rival fight)? Like you beat the hard encounter and on the way back to heal there's an unavoidable encounter. Since if it was me I'd do it to fuck over nuzlockers.
None that I've encountered, Whack likes putting random Regular trainers with lvl 100 teams in the middle of much lower areas, doesn't appear to be any indication who's who.
Those level 100's (aside from the old man zombie fuck him) tend to be side content that unlocks very weirdly early. And the high leveled cops are there as a joke punishment, I guess for getting a kid trainer pokemon. Because you know WACKY.

Do the gym leaders at the very least no longer spam potions in battle?, i mean, i would be fine with limiting the use of healing items in battle, if it wasn't for stuff like this.

I can’t imagine getting through this game’s Rock Tunnel without Flash though.

If I remember right Brock also has extra stuff to say when you skip him and come back later.

Or at least, I never came across one that did. Some of the "Special Guests" (ones with the custom themes by Nena, Bonnie Tyler etc) might not have this restriction but by that point you should be able to just nuke them so it doesn't matter.
So, I did all of Episode 5 until the Gym battles last night and went to wrap it up tonight. I use both save states and in game saves as a precaution, and I would of sworn I did so last night. However my save states are a little behind, and my save file even more so. Oh well, I catch up, finish the gym battle, and go to start the episode.
And VBA started writing over my screen shots. So I lost most of the first half. It was largely exploring the town and grinding out some levels so it's not the worst. I can mostly recreate it.
So, we arrive at Actuvit City for the totally very first time.
Crossfit speds block our way South. Maybe we can go around the next guy...
This meat head drags me to the Pokecenter.

NEWFAG, excited to catch new Pokemon and with a strange feeling in his pants hurries into the next Route only to be ambushed by a Rabbi.
I was warned when given the Thief TM not to use it on God's Chosen People. Nothing bad happened, and RealNigga gets an Amulet Coin to wear as some bling.
North of town is Route 27, we catch the Caroline, Jack and the Lasslee, Thot.
I'm starting to notice that the trainers are of a level comparable to my preparation of the next gym, so instead of pushing on to Route 28 and two more Pokemon, I decided to prepare for the next gym.
We WonderTrade SleepyJuan and receive the Ice Type Coolcube named Cool Spot.(Of note, this WonderTrade got erased by the data loss, and I received the same Pokemon for SleepyJuan. I don't know if this is a coicidence or if WonderTrades are tied to the Pokemon you send) This actually increases the chances of getting a Pokemon I really want on Route 28.
This is kinda my team about to go in the Gym, everyone is level 20, but instead of Nuggie and Leg XD I have TheLuggage(who I didn't want to take in with his Rock typing) and Kekturk.

It has a Electric type life absorbing move that one shots Praeteur.(it also has Gen 7(I think) 80 power Leech Life, and Mega Drain, life draining attacks seem to be it's thing, appropriate for a Mosquito)
And we defeat Tumblrita with a flawless victory!
Frustrated, NEWFAG looks up online for any advice. He gets some recommendations of a popular trainer from the Reborn Region that has dealt with these issues before, so NEWFAG slides into Xer DMs.

I forgot to mention, and have added it to the Episode, but the battle music for the fight with Tumblrita(EDIT: All the Gym leaders) was Darude - Sandstorm.
I'm terrible with music and worse with names of songs. Usually I recognize a song but can't even put a guess at what it's called. However, I do think they did a good job with the chiptune covers, so I'm going to be better about identifying stuff. I literally had to google "rapid meme song" and listen to 50 examples before I got that.
And then I got smart(literally in the middle of typing this) and looked up Pokemon Clover OST on youtube and have them all. I'm going back and adding ones I enjoyed/recognized into the episodes.

With Tumblrita defeated, the South exit of the town is still blocked by the crossfit crew, our only option is to head north and east and up Route 28 to Mt Clover.
With the Justicebadge, Great Balls are for sale at the store.
The Neckbeard has the same theme as the Furry, just with out the barks.
On Route 28 we catch a Caracold, which is disappointing, but is at least an interesting Ice/Electric typing. It gets named Spiteful. I also catch a Fluffyeti, named SonOfCaine bonus points if you get that reference. Neither of these are the one I really wanted.
We encounter a Smogoon
Who uses this adorable Pokemon. It doesn't stand a chance though, it uses a bunch of competitive meta moves, but if it had an attack it didn't use one. I'm not sure if that's the joke, or it was just due to type disadvantage against TheLuggage.
We encounter a very cold looking Tranny. I swear the trainers in this Region are the worst people anywhere.
They have the Gen 5 Doctor/Nurse trainers that will heal your Pokemon after beating them. These things are a fucking life saver for grinding out levels and I am so happy to see-

Nomel seems to be the Bill of the region, except he doesn't reveal to be the IT guy for the Pokemon storage system. His encounter is pretty exact to the original and not particularly funny. Gives us a Lum berry. Also the Hiker tells us there isn't an entrance to Mt Clover here.

We encounter a little girl with a bunch of underleveled Blobbos and then this guy. I remember when this was done with Magikarp. Blobbos is no more threatening either, and TheLuggage crushes it in one blow.

Route 6 seems to be a bit of a cluster fuck, this may be where I got lost and left the game to never return, so we're going to tackle Route 6, maybe the next town, in the next episode. But before we go...
We kick this Youngster in the nuts and chase him off from a Crashed UFO!
Inside we catch a Deemdow named /x/, and a Ayylamo named Bastard. I typically hate Grays but for some reason I really like Ayylamo. We do however miss a Pokemon exclusive to this location, oh well maybe we'll get lucky with a Wonder Trade. There were two more Pokemon here I didn't have, so catching one would of been extremely lucky.
Inside the UFO, it has a close to or exactly the same tile set as the Power Plant in Kanto, as well as a unique battle arena that I really like. Unfortunately it's a very boring location. Few items, no trainers, though it does have a lot of new Pokemon.
And with contact made with extraterrestrial life, we'll bring this episode to a close. Next time we'll find out if Route 7 is as bad as my extremely shitty memories of it.

that is in fact the joke, it uses moves that would boost its partner in a double battle or that should be transferred to another pokémon, but since this is a single battle with just one pokémon it has no means of damaging you.
And I loved the Sargon cameo, I think their dialogue is fine since Sargon is probably still salty about the whole Shelly thing.

The Crashed UFO has two exits in the north side of it, but they don't have much.
Route 6 quickly turns into Route 7, but there isn't much there. A few alternate routes or areas are blocked by cuttable trees, and uh...
Just... close your eyes and imagine the Jeff Golblum gif.
On Route 6, we catch Masdawg, Goodboi and the Hitmonana, PBJ Time. I partly regret not calling Masdawg Slobbermutt, but I'm hoping to catch a better pokemon for it. Hitmonana is another Grass/Fighting type, so it'll probably be benched until we lose kink.com.
And on 7, we get Flameboyan and name it K Fire(as in potassium fire) and a Conchilla named Meat Cream. Despite my distaste for them, Goodboi and Meat Cream will likely be seeing some action in the next gym.
I guess I should be glad it's just with a doll...

New Pokeball type in the store, why Rock type though?
Here we do a ton of level grinding on Route 7 getting about 10 Pokemon up to lvl 25ish. Mainly my Gym 3 team, which we'll get to later.
We then decided to visit that Club our crush Kymmi told me about a couple episodes ago.

Inside is a Battle Club, run by a battlecuck. He'll give us something if we beat all the trainers in here for his pleasure.
We encounter our first Selfdestruct, but luckily Tendies took it at full health.
Sure enough there are 4 trainers in here we can battle as much as we like. Hooo boy, would THAT have been nice before I spent an hour or two with my Celebi in a bottle cranked to 15x speed grinding out levels with wild Pokemon.
As a reward, we get a Dream Pill. It's a one use item that lets switch a Pokemon to it's Hidden Ability... that's a big choice for something I'm very under educated about. Not sure what I'll do with it.
While gaining some more levels in the Battle Club, Coofer evolves into an Ebolable. This is due to his attack being higher than his special attack after level 26.
The other option was Hazmate, I didn't have a preference, and was going to be ok either way. Ebolable gains the Dark typing and loses Poison Point for the Liquid Ooze ability. Hazmate would of gaining Fighting Type and Overcoat ability.
Shit, it's the retard. I better go heal up.
And with that I'm calling this a ending point. Next time we find out what the Ruse Cruise has in store with us, potentially underage sex that's probably legal in the Pokemon world cause everything else is fine if you're 10. Next episode should be out tomorrow as I have it all played and screen shotted.
