This tbh.

The fact that I can get trainers with a Togepi, a Magikarp, and a Wobuffet all in the same Raid battle is really annoying. That being said some of the NPCs are actually very creative and come in surprisingly clutch. The Eevee with helping hand in particular is a godsend
Clutch for me was that one kid with the Mudbray. We were up against this Gigantamax Butterfree and I was using Tyranitar to try and get x4 super effective damage. I had seen the Mudbray use other type moves so I dismissed him as useless for the battle. Eventually, the Butterfree was able to take down my Tyranitar with its G-Max move that I forgot it had, and only one more of our teammates could faint. It had pretty much no health and it was a smidge away from fainting. The Solrock on our team went for Cosmic Power and I forgot who the other Pokemon was but I remembered it missed its attack, so I was pissed because I thought I would have to do the battle all over again, but then Mudbray comes clutch and uses a Rock type move that lands, taking out the Butterfree. It was quite fun to have it come clutch when another hit from that Butterfree would've lost us the battle.

You know what would be a fun idea?

Letting people choose a pokemon that can participate in battles while they're 1) offline or 2) create and NPC that uses said pokemon. Maybe even allow the players to 'catch' the maxed pokemon on a certain percentage rate and allow them to decide if they wanna keep the pokemon or not.

Just an idea.

better yet, have the damn league cards actually do something like iunno, league cards you get from other players or gym leaders lets you call them into raids?

as it stands league cards are fucking pointless.

Yeah, maybe have them be associated with a certain 'signature pokemon', that'd be cool. Also, maybe give them the ability to let you choose to 'dynamax' their pokemon - After all, maybe having a Gigtanamaxed pokemon on your team might be a good call.

The league cards, as of right now, are purely cosmetic for you and a cute little collectible from other trainers. Much like how the character accessories are. Which reminds me, do they still have the Pokeball effects be a thing or...?

When people die, they become the Yamask, which then evolve into people-eating sarcophagus. I'm sure someone like Jeffery Dahmer would be ecstatic to become reincarnated as a Pokémon that'll go on to eat people.
When people actually die in Pokemon, Game Freak makes sure to never have it happen on-screen just in case that character is marketable enough to tard cum in later releases.

What infuriates me about League Cards is that when Gym Leaders give you their rare cards in the postgame story, they say something like "call me if you ever need me", implying that you are supposed to be able to call them for stuff like Raids, instead of just inviting them to the Champion Cup.

Something's been bothering me about the Wild Area's weather system for quite a while, and it finally hit me.

Why didn't they bring back Unova's seasons mechanic for this? It would've been perfect. About the only thing I'd change is make the seasons change weekly in real time instead of monthly due to how many time-sensitive mons would be involved. Would've made more aesthetic sense than the "dynamic" system we have now where you can trudge through a blizzard and then two steps later end up in sweltering sunshine.

Because removing features and abandoning them forever until remakes is as second nature to game freak as walking at this point

Are there Ghostbusters in the Pokemon Universe? I mean at the very least there should be a generic trainer type based on Ghostbusters. Would certainly give people someone to ship Hex Maniac with.

The Channeler, Medium, and Sage trainer classes are the closest I can think of.

did they think they will continue making pokemon without help? I beg the differ
its probably just Nintendo absorbing creatures or some shit since they own some of the company already
Curious how this happened shortly after SWSH came out. Regardless of what exactly is going on, it's a good probability that the game's controversial status is causing some internal stirrings. What that means for the future remains to be seen.

If it is, that’s probably a good thing. Even as someone who had a good time with the game, seeing the journos go all ‘hah, it still sold well, take that incels’ left a bad taste in my mouth. Franchises have inertia, and anyone expecting Sw/Sh to fail hard was a twit, but that doesn’t mean following on with the current path blindly is a good idea.

I liken SWSH to a less extreme The Last Jedi. Critics and the general populace liked it initially, but perceptions turned increasingly negative over time to the point where it affected future releases (I say less extreme however due to the rampant in-fighting even among dedicated fans, but you know, as you do). Point I'm trying to make is, SWSH may have done well, but the wounds it caused to the IP's reputation will be felt in time if this trend of declining overall quality continues.

Which is why I think the theory that Nintendo's buying out Creatures may hold merit. A power move to gain more control over the direction and quality assurance of the main series. Other companies like EA and Bethesda may be fine with their name being dragged through the mud, but Nintendo prides itself on the renowned quality of its AAA titles, so one of their main 3 pillars faltering like this possibly spurred them into action one way or another.

Oh, I don’t think it’s THAT bad. It’s not like it killed Cynthia in the background of a scene, then claimed the only people who’d hate it are fanboys.

There’s some great Pokémon designs in it, the crowd cheering makes for hype gym battles, the den battles are a great middleground between the suffering of the tower and the normal area, Ultra shinies are a great way to have shinies be more accessible and give the hardcore players something extra special to shoot for.

Heart went into this game. But not enough time or money. Which I feel is kinda the exact opposite of TLJs problem, which was a large budget given to someone with contempt for the franchise he was supposedly continuing.

Do agree with you on the buyout thing. Even if the reduced dexes continue, they need to give the developers the time to make a good Frontier, at least.
