What does everybody think of poker games and what's their favorite variants? Mine is texas hold'em.

Used to grind a lot of 2/4, 3/6 and up LHE, as well as the unavoidable NLHE.

I like and am good at 2-7 TD.

I like and am mediocre at PLO.

I dislike but can grind O8.

I hate but am good at Razz.

I like but am terrible at Open Face Chinese.

I like these kinds of games in rotation like HORSE.

A Razz tournament is utterly excruciating. Lots of people play it really badly but it just isn't worth the misery.

You can still play online poker here in the states. I grind mid-stakes MTT over on Bovada and Americas Card Room.

EDIT: I play NLHE, PLO, and an occasional Stud game if I can find one.

It's technically illegal, plus the fish are mostly gone now.

Bovada was shit when it was bodog. Have they gotten better tech and payout wise?

Bovada sold it's online poker business to Ignition Casino.

The fish are indeed very rare in modern day online poker especially in the mid/high stakes world. It's not 2005 anymore, unfortunately.

The software client is still practically the same. It could use some work and an update.
They have a lot of juicy guaranteed MTT tournaments that I love to play in. Top 17% get paid on average depending how big the tournaments are. The payouts are always fast and efficient. Takes around two weeks for them to send me a check whenever I am ready to cash out with them. My bank has no problem depositing them.

To anyone wanting to play online poker, I would highly suggest either of the two sites I have mentioned. All legal issues aside, I, nor anyone else I have ever known has came across any kind of issues with the law or government regarding to online gambling in the states.

This is an example of what I am talking about. I am about to play a 20$ MTT and it's a 2,000$ guarantee. The tournaments are juicy.

I can't beat the ring games. They are way above my skill level. I admit this. I will go broke if I enter one of the 2/5$ games and above.

A lot of MTT players like me can't profitably play cash games. The point of poker is to play the games you can beat.
