I used to sometimes play on Pokerstars years ago, mostly just the $5.50's and the $11 MTT's, Either NLH or Omaha for fun or to kill some hours, you could load up 2-3 tournys and play for 9 hours+ if they were huge fields, if you played like a nit alot of the times you'd run deep and min cash at least lol.

Never made much money tho, probably barely a few $1000 although most of that was due to getting 3rd and a 2nd a few times and I think I won a $2.20 one once... I just don't have the time to sit there and play anymore... I think poker is slowly returning to the US online but the playerbase is limited to a few states so not as much fun for those guys.

Used to play microstakes Holdem full ring cash games and MTTs online in college and made some beer money churning bonuses. Black Friday happened before I got a real job and could start playing for bigger stakes. Before Pokerstars started selling play chips, I amassed enough of them that I could play the high stakes play chips games which played like microstakes cash games, but I can't even do that anymore thanks to my Democrat nanny state government. And I don't trust the offshore sites ever since the UltimateBet superuser scandal, and all the other shady shit that's happened in more recent years. So that pretty much limits me to brick and mortar. We have some decent rooms in my area but the Wuflu has made it less attractive to make the drive to any of them. There used to be a monthly tournament in my neighborhood, which was loads of fun with some pretty strong players, but the Wuflu has put that on hiatus.

I find Holdem to be quite boring. Omaha is at least a bit more interesting, and Razz (lowball 7 card stud) is pretty fun too. I think my favorite variety is 2-7 Triple Draw, but it's damn near impossible to find a game.

I used to play tournaments regularly at the MWR, until some faggots ruined it for everyone else and got it shut down. Then they only fucking allowed spades or dominos. I haven't played in probably 10 years because people have gone fucking soft.

The funny thing is I am actually a lot better at reading hands in five card than in other forms of poker, especially in multiple draw games like triple draw 2-7 (I utterly love this game). I quite often know exactly what someone has by the final bet. There is something about community card games that makes it easier to represent that you have the absolute bullshit perfect hand.

This may be why almost nobody plays these draw games any more. Anyone actually bad at them loses all their money and goes back to hold 'em where they can deceive themselves they're okay at it because they win sometimes.

Used to play Bastard Brag and other poker games often in one of my locals but since wuflu happened the pub has gone bust. Used to be fun nights.
