I knew a girl in highschool who wanted to be an actress. She did theater, short films, appeared on local tv and went as far as having a site for her with her own work and profile pics and stuff (in early 00's where having a personal site was rare). I don't know what happened to that girl after highschool but a couple years ago someone from my highschool asked me if I was in the loop about her: She started doing porn because there were no acting jobs for her, became a junkie, went to jail for assault and right now I think she has an OnlyFans.

As a reminder, the average Onlyfans account only makes $180 per month. Once you factor the megathots like the cash me ousside girl and fucked up actresses like Bella Thorne, that average number drops much lower. There are only a few thousand thots that can live off of Onlyfans; granted that’s a few thousand more than what is actually deserved but OF is not the land of milk and honey many girls think. Most will end up with radioactive career potential and a few hundred bucks.

People have been using onlyfans for non-porn things since last year and it's only growing. You're not forced to only use it for porn.
Heres's a little history. Alot of smut peddlers used Patreon for their porn shit back when it was relatively unknown and small time. As it gained popularity it gained more interest, IE investors and the like. As it became increasingly popular to where it became a brand name and more or less the go-to for subscription based business they began to alter their rules to limit and push out pornographic content and they could afford to do so because by then it was turning a tidy profit and could kick those types to the curb, after all the credit card companies don't like their public image tied to porn (too much at least). This has been a song and dance done repeatedly across multiple platforms. Maybe it might be different for OF, maybe not. Who knows?
