All I'm really taking from this is that Jace can still beat Wu in a streetrace provided he stays at least 100 yards ahead.

It also directly forbids him from harrassing her, thus tweeting that she's an ugly tranny is now an illegal act for jace.

What, so the judicial system was so busy dealing with this and didn't have time to execute Chris today?

Very good, Wu, now just think this through.

Is a piece of paper with some blue ink scribbled on it really going to stop someone from attacking and/or harassing you?

I'm pretty sure the only reason she got this is to say that she did whenever people question her. she'll probably be bringing this up all the time now with her usual patron shit

That's a really important thing to clarify. She's clearly blurred out or conspicuously torn off various sections here which is in of itself suspicious. Can we get someone in here who actually knows things about the law to tell us what this paper really means, or use that docket number to look some shit up?
I had to get a restraining order a few months back so I'm aware of the process.
It varies by state. This is how it works in CT, but I highly doubt MA is much different.
First, I went to the court and filed an application, this is most likely what Brianna has. Basically you fill it out including what you want in your restraining order. You then get sworn in by the clerk and your application goes to a judge immediately.
If the judge believes you're in actual danger you'll be given a 14 day temporary restraining order (TRO) on the spot. My TRO stated the respondent (the person you're trying to restrain) couldn't contact me, and had to surrender any firearms until the hearing.
If your application is accepted, you'll get a court date. The respondent in the case must be served. The respondent has the right, but not the obligation, to attend the hearing, mine did not go. You'll have a state marshal working on your case, they're gonna be the one serving the respondent.
If the respondent is not served, the case is thrown out and you will not be given the restraining order.
Knowing his name won't be enough, she needs to know his address or he won't get serve. I didn't know my respondent's address, but I knew places he applied to, where his mom worked, and what bar he frequented. Brianna doesn't know anything other than his name, there's a good chance Jace won't even get served.

As for what that paper is, it's probably either the application or the TRO, there's no way she got the restraining order this fast.

I can't find shit based on the docket number, but I don't get the Mass. court case info website. It might not be updated rapidly, or I'm just a dope.

Anyway, this is essentially a preliminary or interim order of protection telling the target of the order not to contact or harass Wu by any means, including third parties. It's the same sort of form order they use when issuing a restraining order against a spouse in a wife beating case. That this is Brianna Wu doesn't make the terms of the order any less real.

But the key issue is that it's clearly an interim order: its expiration means that there's a court date next week, presumably for a civil suit, though it might just be a suit to obtain a final order of protection. An important note is that not showing up to this will very likely result in a default judgment against the target of the order. Another important note is that since it's a civil action and not a criminal case, there's no right to a public defender (though there is legal aid for such circumstances).

Anyway, the deal is that these orders are really easy to get. You more or less have to go in, allege that you were threatened and want a permanent keep-away order, maybe show some sliver of proof, and you'll get the interim order. It's not amazing, but the significance of the order should not be understated. It's not an order to police to SWAT anyone who threatens Wu, but it's probably pretty close.

Worst case scenario is Eli being recalled from the false flag op in Canada and finishing Wupocalypse solo. Should be an easier target to bag than the Palestinian prime minister.

And one can always hold out hope fpr Tyce raising his skeleton army if he can improve his literacy in time to start practicing black magic.

This is an interesting thing too. Note that Tyce came out of the woodwork just today to start stirring up shit with Wu. Jace is commenting about Wu but doesn't seem to be directly engaging Wu. And while you could certainly call Tyce a former associate of Jace's, you'd be hard pressed to argue that Tyce's trying to engage Wu on Twitter was at Jace's direction.

I'm not saying there's anything shady here. But it's certainly pretty convenient that Tyce just showed up all of a sudden.

I wonder if the address he gave for Jace is that one Eli read on the video.

It's the suit to obtain the final order, the summons looks almost identical to the one here in MO. It's in the Chelsea district of the court, but it's either confidential they don't update their records worth a shit, I can't find anything with Jace or Wu's names on it.

I've still never been able to find Jace's DUI or gail's divorce (which may of happened in NH). MA's public record are pretty awful.

Yeah, MA is a piece of shit when it comes to public access to court electronic records. I guess Wu's complaint could be under seal; an allegation that Wu faces harassment and that disclosure of information to the public might prejudice her in other matters would not be far from the truth. Even so... the presumption of openness in public affairs like court cases is pretty damn strong. I'm still thinking it's just not in the online system yet, though.

I just want to point out that the first thing they tell victims of stalking, harassment, &/or cyber-bullying is: "Don't interact with the person attacking you." Meaning, this parade of twitter updates and direct references is either done by the world's most culpable tranny, or Brianna is doing it on purpose.
Of course she's playing this up on purpose. She really started making noise after she saw the "juggalo beatdown" video. Either she's a complete moron and felt genuinely threatened by Jace's laughable "street justice," or she realized Jace is a harmless stoner that she can safely crucify without any real consequences. My money is on the latter.

I think Jace's address is something known right? We don't post it here for obvious reasons, but in theory it could be obtained at /cow/ or some other source (or good ol' fashioned hard googling for 15 minutes.)

Its absolutely a temporary restraining order. I am beyond stupid when it comes to law, but I can read pretty good, and if you look at the dates listed, the first (Yesterday, 2/4/15), is the date of the order. The Expiration date is listed right next to it, which is 2/13/15. Apparently her next hearing is on 2/13/15, at 4 A.M.
EDIT: Its mentioned several times later in this thread but its 9 A.M.

If this is legit, Brianna Wu just doxed herself to Jace. He would get a copy of this document, which tells Jace that he is ordered to remain away from [BRIANNA WU'S HOME ADDRESS] and her workplace of [BRIANNA WU'S VIDEO GAME COMPANY OFFICE]. Considering Jace didn't have this information to act upon prior, doing this was a smart and level headed decision. *yawn*

About the only thing that made sense with this was that Jace isn't allowed to harass Wu on the internet, so someone should let him know to stop putting her in so many tweets.

The most suspicious thing on here to me is the court address. Why would that be blurred? Is Wu trying to protect the court from harassment? Because let me tell you, the court does not need protection from harassment. Anyone trying to start shit with a court is beyond retarded.

On that note, She didn't blur out the witness' name. Couldn't the witness now get harassment? But she took the time to blur the courts' address? Way to throw your friend supporting you at the courthouse under the bus, Wu.

Last note, there is a docket number at the top. I think you can use that to look up court documents? It might be a few days until its in the system though.

Yeah I was thinking about making a comment about this. That's not a witness: The term "Witness" is more a legal term of art required by the form there than anything else. That's the judge's name. It does not mean that the judge witnessed the conduct that precipitated the order. It's more like the judge is a witness of the fact that it's a true copy/true order.

I don't entirely get that either. Maybe just as a tactic to slow down people trying to find the proof of the order. But the stupid thing is that she already posted exactly what court she was going to in a previous tweet. Maybe it's just overly judicious blurring of anything resembling an address.

I want to know why Jace's name is blurred. I would not be surprised if this order is for somebody else and she's lying about it.

Can any photoshop experts take a crack at de-blurring that? I don't know if it's even possible.

Yeah, the Judge's name is how I figured out what district it is. If someone wants to call them up and ask about the docket number tomorrow the clerk's number is 617-660-9200. They'll either tell you who the defendant is or that its confidential. You shouldn't even need an excuse, its public info unless they seal it.

It'd go along with her general public stance that Jace doesn't deserve ridicule, but "help". Anyway it'd be pretty fucked up for her to post an order for someone else and say it's in reference to someone who issued video death threats to her (I don't know anyone other than Jace who could reasonably fit that description).
