King K Rool has some serious bannana import policy I just can't stand behind. I like Wu's I'll make everything free and charge gamer gate policy, Hitlers, gas the kikes is pretty tempting but, I just can't say no to Stephen Lynch personally murdering all post op MTF transexuals.

...Did you notice it? Something very interesting happened during that video. If you need some guidance, I'll break it down for ya:

It all starts at 0:37.

ziEL2cC.png

There's a scene where Wu's (allegedly) getting on the motorcycle, carrying the cardboard cutout, and then drives off with it. While Wu clearly learned a few lessons from the last time she allegedly rode a motorcycle in an ad (and didn't actually do so, and we caught her on it), she once again fails to establish that it's actually her on the bike, and it doesn't take a psychic to see that the person getting on that motorcycle does not look like Brianna Wu.

iz6y0eh.png

It's very interesting to note just how many boxes this one checks from Wu's previous ad that featured her on a motorcycle:

* Wu has previously featured videos that are not her on a motorcycle claiming she's riding one. Several times. In fact the last time she did this, I did a similar breakdown and it's amazing how little she's learned since then.

* It's entirely done with backshots. While we see a figure getting on the motorcycle, there is zero way to confirm it's Wu because they're entirely done in riding gear and you can't make out any of her features.

* It's interlaced with multiple jump cuts, further stymying any attempt to prove it's actually her on there.

* As was the case last time, the person getting on the bike has a completely different body structure than Wu does. Note the fucking legs.

All she'd need to do with one of these to prove it's actually her on the bike is do an establishing shot of her getting on and driving off. Literally four seconds and make it a front shot this time or wear something other than riding gear. Instead she puts up this, and basically guarantees she'll get called out on it.

Edit: Enjoy, I mirrored it:

@Jaimas your powers of deduction meet no equal.

But if I may since you may have it handy, do you have a picture of Frank around because gear can hide the body pretty well but something says to me that's not his, and I'm gonna make a guess off what I remember Frank's leg shape to be.

There's no way those legs are John's. They're way too thick. He might've put on some lumber lately, but that's all around his middle - his legs are still as stilt-like as ever.

The ad fails on two counts:

1. Trying to show Stephen Lynch in a bad light. "Standing around while our healthcare is shredded" is about as devastating to an incumbent's reputation as not shining his shoes last Monday. If he voted to cut healthcare in the region, say so. Otherwise it's all 'Lynch is a silly poo head ner ner lol' and comes across at about that level of immaturity.

2. Trying to show Brianna Wu as a capable politician that will ensure the supposed bad things Lynch has done will be undone. 'Stand up for what we all believe in' isn't a political agenda, it's a fairy tale a la 'sha na na na na na, or give peace a chance'. Women's reproductive rights and 'keeping families together' (in other words, the ICE child removal shit) are national issues. They appeal at best to half of the people in Mass - the female half - and even then, there are no solid promises. So Lynch has let childcare costs skyrocket, is Wu proposing to make childcare affordable? Is Wu commited to improving public transport? No clue.

What anyone will get from this ad is that Lynch is apparently ignoring bad things happening in the MA8 area, but Wu will ensure Planned Parenthood offices stay open.

I'm not sure John's thought this through.

The video description is clearly written by Frank. It's literally just his same three Twitter talking points lined up in a paragraph

Brianna Wu is a progressive Democrat running for US Congress in MA-8. The primary is Tuesday, September 4. She is running against incumbent Stephen Lynch, who voted against Obamacare and for the Iraq War, and who has repeatedly fought LGBT rights and choice. Brianna will do the exact opposite. In addition, Brianna is a cybersecurity expert. She will fight the hackers who are trying to steal your Soc. Sec. number, drain your bank account and undermine our elections. Familiarize yourself with this article.
I knew they are one in the same person, I just found it funny that Frank can't ride it either.

We've all seen a case of "marge's bowling ball" where one member of a relationship buys something for themselves and gift to the other, and we know John loves his image so if Frank can ride, it's kinda great gift.. he could ride a bike and John can pose with it. But if he bought John that, and he can't ride either it's a fucking riot that much money was spent for a prop.

Maybe if they weren't such repulsive people they could borrow from a friend. I'm sure you as well as most anyone else here could call a buddy and borrow a BMW/bike/leather couch if needed for a photoshoot. These two chuckle fucks have no friends so they just go and buy something they don't need or can use, to fill one partners ego.

It's funny how everything with John always has to circle back around to him becoming Holiday. The bit with the "SUPER KOOL" guitar music starting up and then him hopping on the motorcycle is straight out of his oldest "Socially Unconscious" fantasies.

The whole thing is just so fucking weird, dude. It’s weird.

Like, I can understand if you’re putting a project like this together for someone else, you work with what you have, you do a bit of work to fix it, and eventually say “eh, fuck it, this is good enough,” and finish.

I can’t comprehend how someone can look at this video, say “Why yes! This reflects my political message and my personal identity! This is GREAT! This is so good that it will win me votes! PUT IT ON YOUTUBE!”

for the Iraq War

What is this, 2008? No one gives a fuck about that issue any more. You’re bitching about a vote that was 15 years ago and that was litigated to death and back, over multiple election cycles, a literal decade ago.

Same thing with Obamacare. If Lynch’s vote was ever an issue in a past campaign, it was three election cycles back and is already mitigated. No one cares.

It’s like Wu fell asleep in 2010, slept for 8 years, and refuses to believe that the entire political world has changed.

is a cybersecurity expert

I truly do not understand why this is such a focus of this campaign. You can be THE world’s top expert on cyber security, run for Congess, and no voters will fucking care. Not in this district, not in any Congressional district in the country. No. One. Fucking. Cares.

This whole ad is just so weird and out of touch that it makes me wonder if I’m dreaming. The whole campaign feels the same way. It’s so bizarre, fascinating, and incredibly entertaining.

I’m so excited Wu is continuing this scam for two more years.

Autism about rhetoric and messaging:

The ad, to me, is rhetorically weak. The goal seems to have been to contrast Lynch's passive "standing there" with Brianna's active "standing up", but... "standing there" and "standing up" are not antonyms. Maybe Brianna should have used a different verb construct to contrast himself with the cardboardman he's attacking in the ad, like "fight for reproductive rights".

The cardboard man itself is a risky prop to use. On one hand, it visually characterizes Lynch as inauthentic - good, for Wu's purposes. On the other hand, one could say that Flynt inadvertently showed herself attacking a strawman (except it's made of cardboard).

Huh, what a... cliched ad. The whole "he does nothing, so he's cardboard" cliche. How typical of John not to actually come up with anything original to sell on this "revolutionary" campaign. A loss again, John.

Also, I know it's been archived already, but assuming I can get nginx setup with my current configuration. I could also throw this on my machine for download. It's hosted in Germany, so they won't (usually) give a flying fuck about the DMCA, anyway.

Folks, I have seen Brianna ride the bike. She really does ride it.
How long did you see this riding go on?
One of the things our resident bike people noticed is that the bike is in pristine factory condition, like even the obscure flaps and gizmos that would get wear from merely turning on the engine are still shiny and new. (Can you tell I'm not one of these bike people?)

This makes it so much funnier, Frank buys John a bike he can't ride, or Frank can't ride... so they need a stunt person to ride it for the vid.

The bike was ALWAYS a prop, given it has those stupid-as-fuck headlight eyelashes and IIRC even back during Gamergate, Wu refered to it explicitly as 'REDLINE' a.k.a. that dumbass bike in R60 which even in the game Holiday acknowledges really is kind of fucking stupid because the bike is mostly FUCKING USELESS on a space station. And yet she brought it anyway.

Folks, I have seen Brianna ride the bike. She really does ride it. She just isn't often filmed after doing so, because it makes her hair look ridiculous afterwards, with or without the helmet.

So, Wu can actually ride the bike, but simply doesn't for a completely stupid reason? Like, if riding the bike messes up the hair which is such a big deal, then why the fuck use the bike at all in the first place? Rhetorical question, of course, since we all know the answer is that it's the way Wu thinks they're a badass woman (and yet they need a fucking spy car with ejector seats too...) and making other people think that way to reaffirm Wu's own self-image is the modus operandi. It makes no sense given even if the hair is messed up AFTER riding with the helmet...that doesn't explain why it's obvious Wu isn't riding the fucking bike while filming since we can clearly tell the body structure is different.
