I think they’re saying that whatever good was left in the cartoon McCraken originally made has now been utterly wiped out by the live action show, since the live action version claims that the cartoon was a “safe sanitized and whitewashed version of their actual lives made to sell the brand” or whatever, essentially shitting all over the original in order to be “deep” and “realistic”.

That joke is really bad because it's just very dated and it's really dumb to make a Trump joke about his cabinet when he's out of office. If this shit show as made in like 2017-2020 then it would've still been bad but expected.

At least that had the common courtesy to die during production. It seems like they’re going the opposite of the Sonic route and doubling down for PPG.
Less people would be angry with them, at the very least.
All they needed to do with Sonic was update the model though...I don’t think something so easy will work for PPG.
