This is the funny, though dangerous, part about “woke ideology” permeating onto today’s entertainment. Using cartoon girls as a live action idea to now chastise, lecture and demean the original audience of people who watched the cartoon (who used to be kids themselves, by the way) is a slap to the face to all people who used to love watching cartoons like PPG to both entertain and relax from all of the real life current events that are taking place in today’s society,
The fact that they even use little (fictional) kids as shields to continue getting away with this behavior is about as disgusting as social media users forcing themselves to virtue signal about real life politics needing to be injected into the show in the first place.

They need do something to ther IP or they go public. Or you think why disney do the shit remakes? Because it's needed for maintain the IP.
I'd be willing to bet this started out as some generic UA knock off and some executive decided to attach the PPG brand to in hopes it would make more money.

Literally all they seem to care about is that this carries the name of a popular 90's cartoon show.
This is approaching Disney levels of 'slap a brand name on something that doesn't at all feel like the creators respect the original franchise and know why people liked it in the first place' and it's only going farther and farther downhill.

It's sad when dudes dressed up in obviously unconvincing PPG costumes are actually legitimately more faithful to the show than an actual Powerpuff Girls based show.
