One of the defining characteristics of the modern Furry con scene is the partying aspect of it. Besides the official raves in the main conference rooms (in most of the bigger cons), there’s also unofficial parties held in hotel rooms with loud music. After all there’s nothing more fun than being a loser in your mid 20s-30s and throwing an off the rails hotel party that feels like something out of a college campus only for hotel staff to break it up, and maybe turning your body into a human petri dish after fucking someone in a hotel room.
Nothing sums up this mentality more than Prawst (Powerword: Sterling Prosten Richter), a spoiled grown adult who now identifies as a tranny (like all the “cool kids” do), and the group he’s a leader of/heavily involved with, which is called Adventure Cru, or #AdventureCru, a group infamous among congoers for throwing room parties. To make things better (or worse, depending on how you look at it), Prawst is a party animal too who leaves drama in his wake, and this led to him being banned from Anthrocon back in 2010. So in this thread, you’ll be getting two threads for the price of one, and both are closely related too which makes it even better.

Before we talk about the antics of him and his friends, we might as well get out of the way what kind of person Prawst is. I think the best way to describe Prawst is as a trust fund kid who never grew out of the “party hard” fratboy phase of his college life. He went to Emily Carr university in the late 00s-early 2010s (A $3000ish a year public art university), and once he graduated he got a job at Titmouse Animation Studios, which has done some animated TV shows for networks. He then went on to have a career many furries would kill for, actually getting to work on TV shows for an animation studio and making a website with his portfolio.
Despite this, while he’s outgrown his college days physically he hasn't mentally. Prawst goes to furry conventions, and he just loves to party. Everything about him, from his persona in the fandom to his spastic typing style and memespewing to his furaffinity page paints the picture of someone addicted to partying and drama.
While he posts art from time to time on his Furaffinity page, and while he sometimes uploads art to his Tumblr in between a million political reblogs (like most Twitter/Tumblr addicts), his main thing is partying and he makes this clear with his Twitter handle even having party in the username. This is somewhat interesting considering how his art skills are good enough to the point where he could "make" it in the fandom without having to resort to being a party animal.
Browsing his social media feeds, you can infer a few things about him. Judging by his choice of cities such as Seattle or Vancouver, he’s either clearly getting money somewhere, or he’s taking the furry route of making some decent cash but living with roommates since rent is too high.
Like many furries he is laser focused on a few interests while talking about little else on his feeds, and it just so happens that one of them is partying all the time. Prawst wants to be with the other cool kids, and this means both adopting the pre-packaged Tumblr political views and activism which you can find on his Tumblr feed, along with coming out as transgender probably only around last year or so when everyone else in the fandom was doing it to rack up cool kid points…and then going to a troon only party at FWA.

Prawst has been through several girlfriends. Currently according to profiles he’s dating squeedgemonster, a furry artist who’s most famous for dating and doing album art for Renard Queenston/Lapfox/Halley Labs, a furry musician whose music was loved by YTMPV makers and rhythm game players. Ren's career went into the toilet however after one of his other exes wrote multiple explosive Tumblr blog posts saying he had issues with groping women as he slept, and then him admitting it and going lower key for a while.
That’s not the only woman Prawst is dating right now, and squeedge has possibly been regulated to side ho status after she wouldn’t move with him to Vancouver. Currently he’s living with his roommate BLITZWUFF and getting art commissions with her. Since squeedge hasn’t been deleted off his other profiles, something tells me he might be in a poly relationship.
His old ex was hootaloo/hoot/poodlewise, someone who also used to date Zaush.
Prawst’s con antics
While Prawst is a relatively worthless person who tends to sleep with some big names, his antics at cons more than make up for this. Prawst would upload videos to his YouTube channel about the chaos that would go down at furry conventions he went to, like the room parties he was at, or other drunk craziness around wherever he happens to be.

It wasn't long before he started running into issues, mostly with hotel staff but sometimes with con staff. One such example was his constant antics at Anthrocon, a con notorious for the fact that Samuel Conway is extra concerned about public image to the point of being a control freak (The Fursonas documentary touches on this, as they find themselves unable to film there unless they hand over lots of creative control of the film to Conway, it’s a good watch if you want to see how furries eat their own). For Anthrocon 2007, he staged a fake protest spewing 4chan memes. Him and a few pals dressed up as the Habbo Hotel afro avatars (that were later used to grief other games such as Second Life by groups such as the Patriotic Nigras) and stood outside holding signs with phrases like “POOL’S CLOSED” or “YIFF IN HELL”.
This got him plenty of attention along with mentions on Wikipedia and ED even, so he planned to pull the same stunt off the following year, except for one major issue. As he got shitfaced and drunk and high at a party (he claimed someone slipped GHB in his drink), this resulted in an event that led to him being detained by security: He ran into the “zoo” area, yelled some guys name out, chased him, and drop kicked all the signs, resulting in security coming after him. He spent the rest of the night puking, overslept the next morning, and canned his protest idea.
When he attempted to register for Anthrocon 2010, the staff at the con found his channel and all his videos, and decided to ban him from the con for good, with all the board members agreeing. He already gained a reputation as a shit stirrer, and his channel helped reinforce this. Going through his YouTube is awkward, as you see how he gained a pretty bad reputation for himself in the “waah fursecution” days, as his youtube channel shows everything from attempted property damage to acting like a drunk college student. There were also rumors that underage drinking used to happen at his parties.
Furry cons aren’t the only places Prawst has gone to party however, videos on his channel show he’s also gone to Anime conventions and Burning Man in the past.
#AdventureCru: The party rises
At Rainfurrest 2011, he joined and became one of the earliest members of #AdventureCru, a group of furries who brag about and advertise room parties at the hotels, or sometimes at the raves depending on the con. This was a match made in heaven, a party animal with a thirst for attention finding a group of room partiers who loved to go to cons and party in the rooms. Prawst and his new Adventure Cru pals found a cheat code to becoming a popufur without buying a fursuit, blowing money on furry porn, or actually contributing something of value to the fandom in general: Throwing #lit room parties to the point of even aping the practice of furry cons to have “themes” for each year, and advertising them all across the con with signs and on social media.

Either way, Hotel Staff aren’t too thrilled about grown adults holding parties like they’re college kids, as the noise complaints roll in, and there are some videos of the #lit parties being shut down.

Their reputation among the furry fandom itself has been very mixed as well, outside the Twitter sphere, and various websites that documented furry drama had blips of discussion about them. In 2013, they were completely shat on over at /furi/ and were called hipsters, and then some Adventure Cru members ran to the thread to damage control. Not long afterwards a thread about them on Vivisector had posters calling them a “furry frat for trust fund kids” and mentioned an incident where one of them left crushed Goldfish crackers all over a room, and another one asked why the hell they haven’t been banned from more cons yet.
Furthermore, a Twitter thread by someone critical of Prawst and Adventure Cru called him a memelord and incapable of regular conversation, and a 4chan troll who only joined the fandom as a quick ticket to popularity the minute he found out that partying could make you big.

The $3,000 Chair Incident
One of the more notable events of the Adventure Cru parties was the chair incident. During partying, a chair was left outside on the balcony during a rainy day, causing damage despite being under a tent. To make matters worse, Super Bowl 2016 was happening in just a few days, leading to his group being dinged with a $3,000 bill for wrecking the furniture.
Of course, on Twitter Prawst and friends acted like it was a joke.
