Because all the colours are so significant in their own way and the people who make these flags cram as many colours and stupid shapes as they can in one shot so they get the most "meaningful" flag... which generally results in an ugly mess.
...The ones that don't look like that just look like they stole some colour palettes off colorpod or something and applied their own definition to it.
