Sure, I have my triggers as much as the next brain-wrecked person, but I don't go fucking swanning around the goddamn internet expecting people to wrap me in a protective bubble of NO TRIGGERS EVER because why should they? It's my problem and also my responsibility to not inflict my problems on other people. Get help, get treatment, get healing, but don't expect the entire fucking world to revolve around your narcissistic candy ass.

Amuse someone would see Mickey Mouse ears in that way. I would've thought it was an amusing coincidence that the stains on a ceiling just happen to look like that, but it certainly didn't trigger me.

I'd love to take one of these snowflakes to a family dinner of mine. I've war veterans, war nurses, emergency response personnel, genuine rape victims, and a couple who can give the "Child Called It" author a run for his money. All of these people are from the shut up and carry on generation, so no mental health checks before or after any of the shit that they went through. That's genuine PTSD. Not having someone be a meany poo poo head to a fourteen year old who's never even had their parents give them a gentle smack on their bot bot.

I've a suggestion: how about making these entitled brats follow a team of paramedics around for a few days? They'll either snap out of it or else off themselves. Either works for me.

the grin and bear it shit is pretty useless though too. real psych treatment works for PTSD. as in, it's one of the few mental illnesses we can actually treat successfully and control, and sometimes even cure.

if someone says they've got it, they don't have to have it. they can fix it. or they can just grin and bear it.

veterans just have shit access to psych care, that's the only reason a lot of them are long term with it. the treatments weren't around until the last decade or so, too, Vietnam era vets had no chance.

I've heard that supposedly the "tw: food" came from eating disorder support groups since images of food could potentially rekindle an urge to start binging again.

But to be honest if someone is at a stage where they're so unstable in their condition that they'll possibly relapse at a mere picture they probably shouldn't be on the internet anyways.

you'd expect a person who gets actually triggered by food due their eating disorder to be wary about all kinds of it, so why someone would need to specify cereal or anything else?
