In August 2019 I released my first game, Grunge,an RPG about four queer teenage girls growing up in the 1990s. Initially, I didn’t anticipate the game getting much attention, and I was profoundly surprised when it won the silver medal at the Melbourne Queer Games Festival.

When I came across the submissions process for the GLAAD Awards – an awards ceremony founded by an organization dedicated to celebrating positive representation of LGBTQ+ people in media – I thought maybe my game had a shot, so I applied for a fee waiver and submitted my application.

Does anybody still give a shit about Gone Home?

I remember when it came out, critics said that it was one of the most important games ever, but i barely saw it anywhere in any top 100 Lists for game of the decade.

Oh right, Meme Games and Walking Simulators are forgotten after a month.

Mainstream gaming needs to do more when it comes to LGBTQ+ representation, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that adding more queer characters into the story will fix the issue.

It's the only kind of game these talentless hacks can make. If they wish hard enough, there may be a bigger demand for VNs.
And most of the time, not even those are very good because they have little to no replay value.

If you wanna play a good visual novel game, play the Danganronpa series, which these people hate because weeb stuff is always problematic.

I see what you're doing with this. This article is a gayop to revive @Jaimas to play this terrible game. I agree. Look at the game that the article writer made. Holy FUCK it's like it's right out of the days of the Autism Crusades.

The queer indie dev community is immensely talented

I cannot think of a single time I've heard of any of the indie games mentioned in this article. The sad reality is all these games are probably leagues better than Revolution 60.

Mainstream gaming needs to do more when it comes to LGBTQ+ representation, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that adding more queer characters into the story will fix the issue.
Now this is a sentiment I can mostly agree with. Stop writing 1 dimensional characters whose only defining trait is how gay/trans/queer they are.

These people will never admit that they aren't the majority and just accept that the vast majority of people don't give a shit about their agenda driven game.
Your game isn't selling because it's infested with virtue signaling and politics, not because it didn't get enough exposure.
Make your fag game for your little fag community and be happy, don't be mad because people outside your target demographic don't want it.

Rule of acquisition #97: 'enough.....is never enough'

They were really on to something when they wrote those rules
