Basically I would like to make a thread about Lorne Armstrong of To Catch A Predator Fame. There is an absurd amount of material about him out there but, because the Lornography community is incestuous and most of the early material has been deleted, it's basically impossible to get into following him because you can't get a decent timeline going. I think the farms would be the perfect place for a Lorne landing zone where people can get up to speed on who he is and why it's hilarious.
That said there is a thread on him already, but the OP wasn't particularly in-depth and well done, and basically all of the posts are people wondering why he's relevant (owing to the OP doing a bad job of explaining this). The first few pages are basically thread poison.
So I'd like to make a new thread just so that I can write a comprehensive OP and not be burdened with the original thread. Because as-is it's as dead as dead gets. No amount of new posts is going to resurrect that thing and there's nothing of value there that would be lost if it was abandoned for the sake of the new thread. Starting fresh seems to me like the only option.
So: would that be alright?
