Citizens of Runescape 2007 dress up in white robes to protest an in-game event honoring #Pride2017.

Recently there was a gay pride event held on Old School Runescape



Usually playesrs go over to /r/2007scape to poll for new content, this event however skipped all that and was shoved right into the game

Lots of people were angry, Mods repsonded by being fags



In response to the fruiting up of runescape many players deiced to protest the event by essentially dressing up as ku klux klan members

Massive bans all round

Just going to quote myself in response to the Metokur video.

You're missing something critical about the polling. 2007scape spun up from a snapshot of the game after modern RS lost a ton of subscribers. Users felt the game had become bloated, and the game's vast expanses felt empty & creepy, with the NPCs idling around not doing anything, waiting for the few new players still around doing quests to come by.

Runescape's solution to this was to reboot the game from it's peak and run polls EVERY SINGLE TIME they were thinking of adding something. Sailing (a new skill) was mostly fleshed out, had concept videos pushed out, and was basically finished. They ran a poll by the users for if they wanted Sailing and it failed something like 45-55 and they still didn't add it. Even though it was a weak plurality of users who didn't want it, they respected it.

Autistic people playing RS2007 do not want surprises. They want the same shit they've been playing since 2001 and nothing more.


Edit: I was wrong. Their votes require a fucking 70% congressional supermajority to pass. The sailing skill lost 68-32.
