r/dogfree and r/ifuckinghatecats - People who are REALLY passionate about how much they hate animals

A couple of years ago, I made a thread on Reddit's r/childfree community, where people (who range from those who simply don't want children to full-blown child-haters) congregate to bitch about breeders. As shitty as that subreddit can be, I understand the reason for its existence. People who don't want to have children are often pestered for it and it gets frustrated. But something like, say, having a dog or a cat is just a personal preference that nobody would get bent out of shape about, right?

Right?

Nope. Enter r/dogfree and r/ifuckinghatecats.

Their sidebars tell you what you need to know:

Such lovely people!

Anyway, let's get to some example posts...

Imagine being this salty over seeing pictures of dogs, holy shit. Also "dog fanatics," lol.

>whine about people not respecting your life choices
>berate and insult other people's life choices

Yeah, fuck off. My late dog was my baby and I'm not ashamed to admit that.

Also lol, unironically calling cats "serial killers" when humans are the only species intelligent and self-aware enough to met the criteria for it.

No words. Just disgust.

Tl;dr- these people are cunts.

More content to come once the thread gets rolling. Also, feel free to post things from any animal haters, not necessarily the ones confined to these communities.

Kiwifarms once again doing PETA's job better than PETA.

Also, one of the highest rated posts on r/dogfree is "Pit bull owners are some of the worst human beings I've ever met and dealt with" http://archive.li/Ir7Iz Which tbh is kind of true.

http://archive.fo/GvhuO This thread is just funny. Clearly dogfree is the product of cat people while ifuckinghatecats, after a look through, is just really violent and angry.

I've noticed in the past that people who hate cats tend to hate them, but people who say they hate dogs find them just really annoying. Of course, I wouldn't trust anyone who says they outright hate an animal unless they'd been mauled close to death.

I completely understand why people would make filters to stop having photos of dogs shoved in their faces everywhere. I also get why there's hate for dog owners who worship the things and think they can do no wrong.
Putting my bias aside, the dogfree subreddit doesn't seem crazy. I don't see any posts calling for mass cullings or anything.
The cat one has no posts as I'm writing this. I don't know how reddit works though so it might just all be hidden.

Glad I couldn't help

Last post was 7 months ago; it's a pretty dead subreddit.

people who care this much about letting others know they don't like their pets deserve to get doxxed just as much as zoosadists tbh

edit:

i'm going through some of the mods' post histories now and it's pretty entertaining.

one of the r/dogfree mods is a fan of yandere simulator if the fact the community wasn't overrun by edgelords wasn't obvious enough already.

in fact, i'm finding that the mods have to respond to people to tell them to stop posting about their plans to abuse animals in r/dogfree a lot.

a lot of the posts talking about wanting to abuse animals get deleted though. unfortunate.

it's admittedly really fucking funny to see him sperging out about immigrants for a few posts only to immediately go back to bitching about women with dogs:

clearly still has some unresolved issues with his wife, who he constantly brings up because he married her while she had a dog:

more instances of mods having to tell members to stop posting about wanting to literally harm animals:
