I can understand not really liking dogs or cats. Especially if you had some form of trauma relating to one of them

I have a friend who is dead-ass terrified of cats. Not kittens though, she’s admitted she thinks they’re cute and if all cats stayed that small she would like them more. But full grown cats scare her so bad she won’t go into the room with them.

Turns out when she was a little kid, some country ass barn cat attacked her. Like ran at her and after clawing and biting every uncovered part of her body, proceeded to chase her down as she ran screaming and covered in blood back to her parents.

tbh, I think that's how it goes with a lot of animals. Like, if I could have these 2 animals permanently like this as pets, I would. Compared to them grown up, they probably wouldn't be that hard to take care of either.

This has probably been expressed before, but I find people that hate dogs have few good reasons.

I can understand if you had a bad childhood experience with one, like you’re riding your bike and some idiot’s dog just knocks you off and starts to attack you. That happened to my mom.

But see, dogs were one of if not the first animals man tamed and domesticated. They were specifically and carefully bred to be more docile, friendly, and loving than their wolf cousins.

In other words, they were made to be perfect for human beings. So if somebody doesn’t like dogs, it makes me think they are a pretty poor human being, not gonna lie.

Alternatively you can get a small or well-mannered breed dog when you have a kid so your child would have a beloved companion and wouldn't spend all time playing Fortnite, and probably even learn a thing or two about how to look after a living thing.

This is an amazing find, holy shit. Incels are so insecure and mentally defective that they think women who love dogs are secretly lusting after them. Just imagine being so far gone that you concoct all sorts of scenarios in your head about why women are whores who fuck dogs instead of giving you a chance.

I guess they do have a point, though. Women really would prefer the (non-sexual) companionship of a dog over an incel.

That's why I made this thread, they're prime lolcow material. If you don't want to own a dog or a cat, that's cool. It's your decision. But it's just ridiculous how these people want to enforce their decision on everyone. Like that example I just posted that compares dogs to cigarettes. They're actually claiming that dogs should be banned from public spaces. Not privately owned places like stores and restaurants (where they're already banned), but public places like parks and sidewalks. If a dog is well-behaved in public, mind your own fucking business and let the dog and its owner enjoy themselves.
