Rich people don't care if public housing gets built - as as long as it's not in their area. It's the working poors that rage at the thought of a person without a job getting a free house.

We rage about it because it's our neighborhoods that get flooded with tarp-covered tents and schizoid druggies, stumbling around, leaving their needles everywhere, and stealing everything that isn't tied down. I didn't need to keep my grill's propane tank indoors when I lived in suburban CO. I need it in the glorious leftoid utopias of the PNW. Because the last 2 tanks have been stolen to fuel chop shops in the park next door.

I'm not resentful of these fuckers getting a free house, I'm resentful that wealthy fuckers are deliberately shitting up my neighborhood to pat their pampered asses on the back and then have the gall to berate me for actually wanting the same laws that protect their mcMansions enforced in my apartment complex.

The people who took part in the Rosenhan experiment weren't mentally ill though. They just proved it wasn't hard to be diagnosed. That doesn't change the fact that most of the people in asylums were crazy. Asylums weren't just for mentally ill. they were also for the mentally re.tarded and dementia patients.

Most working poor don't want them because typically when they come into an area, the crime rates skyrocket because they instantly fill up with niggers. The rich don't give a flying fuck because most of them are Jews and living in either gated communities, or in urban areas which even if you have money, you're going to need some pull to get into. This isn't a new thing either, and normally this pattern of behavior results in poor whites being forced to flee from an area entirely.

The funny part of this is that now that poor working whites have mostly been pushed out of US cities, the tactic is being used against poor working Hispanics. This is something we saw fairly recently in Little Village Chicago where the Latin Kings street gang basically had to become the de facto police force for the area because the Jewish-controlled police force was allowing BLM to freely loot and pillage White and Hispanic properties.

Fun fact: most of the soviet food supply came not from the collectivized farms but the tiny personal plots of land peasants were allowed to have for self-reliance and to sell any surplus they might have. It just happened that these peasants didnt give two shits about the collectivized farms where all their production went to the apparatchiks living in the cities, so they put all their work in these tiny plots. At the end like 60% of all the food came from these plots because guess what? even a malnourished ignorant slav peasant living in a police state dont like the idea of working for free.

Even soviet industrial workers had a saying "we pretend to work and the government pretends to pay us" which shows you why it all went to shit at the end.

These are old crappy places that were once practically free for poor people. The thing is with government housing (and Counsil housing is the person before mentioned) is that the neighbourhood never changed. You are paying near a fortune to live in the ghetto with druggies next door and in Toronto likely highly dysfunctional Jamaican descended blacks that let the bullets fly. AS this is ''mixed income housing'' (one unit for poors, the next is fully market value).

You're not serious are you? Marx would have seen the fruits of capitalism beyond what we could even imagine. The various East India companies all had corporate armies, private corporations were behind most of the colonization of Canada and I think the Indies and Carribean. Then there were the rail tycoons, coal magnates, and so on. Nowadays corporations are fairly toothless, can't issue corporate scrip in lieu of wages nor can they have standing armies.

I think the only difference is now the 19th century form of capitalism is at its global apex and we are finally hitting the hard limits preventing infinite growth.

Back in caveman days there was utopia because no class division. But then this utopia was destroyed and replaced with age of slaves and slavemasters after that there was feudal age after that capitalist age -> socialist age and finally return of Utopia in Communist age.


Problem is both Russia and China didnt have what Marx defined as capitalist age and went from feudal age to the socialist one.

And if anything, the "Late Stage" consequences of neoliberalism are all things they like. We would have no troons without an advanced and quasi-libertarian capitalist society that enables conspicuous consumption and individual weirdness. Nor would we have mass migration in a society that was protectionist, populist, generally anti-business, or eschewed Neoliberal economics.

The politics they support (and in many cases the government checks they receive) are entirely funded and promoted by the people they claim to be against.
