Sorry if any of this has been posted in the past I took these screenshots a month ago, but this thread moves slowly so hopefully I dont cover to much already treaded upon ground.
Pretty sure this person is running a scam of some sort idk, because I know I've done a head study of this asian dude(like the exact photo) and I don't really see how she could be literally be this bad yet some how able to paint portraits to any degree of success. I'm wondering if she isnt running it through some filter or literally just paining over the photo.
Somehow gave the Oracle the shoulders if a line backer, ik it's hard to get proportions right when you add such a long ant flowy piece of garment into the mix that would obscure a lot of the curvature of the lower torso and hips, but these shoulders are obviously too wide. Idk maybe I'm just judging it too harshly, anyways lmao at the "too naked" question.

I love this subreddit so much. Showing up here is pretty much how you know you're doing right as an artist.
Now this is just insultingly lazy. I'd rather see a 2011-era rage comic.
Last one is the only one that's maybe passable. Looks like the cheap-ass art you'd find in small-time tabletop gaming books back in the day. But since they give so much of a shit about realism:
- the Oracle at Delphi would never have worn laurels, as those were only for kings, philosophers, and people who won the Olympics.
- She would have worn her hair up or pulled back, not flowing free
- And the picture is showing her wearing her chiton in a man's style (off one shoulder) with weird extra fabric on one side, so it looks like she stuck her head through an arm hole and just said fuck it. This is on top of the fact that having one breast bared was a sign of mourning, so unless this is supposed to be some emo bullshit, I don't think she'd be letting one titty flow free.
- I think the scroll is supposed to say "The Oracle at Delphi" but the Greek is so fucking bad I can't tell. They conjugated 'Delphi' all fucking wrong and 'de' is not a Greek article that I remember. Go with "Gnothi Sueton" which is what was actually written over the entrance to her chambers. Besides, the Oracle was called "Pythia" in the original Greek.

There's something fishy alright. Even if it's painting over photos, it looks like a quantum leap in ability over their other art.

In the way that bird necks are thin curved things but few people realise because they're buried in feathers, I think the people in that sub can't believe the curve and flexibility of the human spine when it's not buried in rolls of fat. There's more wiggle to it than your slump-hump, ladies.

The Winx cartoon designs make me gag, but what's their point? That humans don't look like cartoons? That the old cartoon didn't retroactively make one of their characters the token fatty to match the new live action show?

Unironically I’m jealous of Fred. Here is a man who never aged past 15 and build his career on making comics only a horny 15 year old with the knowledge and love of boomer media could like. In a way he represents the American dream. A black man who became exactly what he dreamed of being all his life and spends every day doing what he loves. It’s not my cup of tea personally but I’m so happy for him. He seems like a good guy that I’ve known since I was a little kid but never really met. Reading his comics you know exactly what kind of guy he is.

I think it technically falls under parody. "Gold Digger" refers to his flagship series which is basically a chop suey of American Saturday morning cartoons, DnD jokes, and furshit. It's chockablock with parody characters and reference jokes. There are robot characters and I think those two bots on the cover are actually "his" by barest dint of legal wrangling. Remember, this is a guy who made a Lion-o ripoff and got around it by just rearranging the letters into "Onoli."
I'm a bit of a fan, but I'm about 15 years behind.

She's about that 10-12 age range. I guess they're just weirdly hyped that a child character from a western cartoon isn't wearing a bikini all the time, y'know because that happens. Age aside, that's a weird character to pull anyway. No one in that show is meant to look sexy. I mean c'mon, look at the shape of their heads.
