As for why there are way fewer famous black scientists in the Western world? That may have to do with the fact that any attempt by brothers to study science were, as a rule, cut off at the knees with that whole "Get back to picking my cotton/mining my diamonds/shining my shoes, nigger" thing. Given the recent advent of African-American access to higher education, I'd say they're doing pretty well for themselves. Arguing that, because Africans in 300 years (being generous on your side) have failed to generate the exact same number and caliber of minds as Europe has over 800-1000+ years, that they're untermenschen is pretty legendary, man.
