Lemme spoil the movie for ya'll. John Rambo is 83 years old and living on a ranch in Texas. Mexican banditos steal his Medicaid check and he goes on a blood fueled rampage wherein he accidentally shoots up a Chuck E. Cheese because he really needed that Medicaid money for his cataract surgery. He finally gets his surgery...in supermax.

OH MY GOD I KNEW IT AND WAS HOPING FOR THIS!

I saw the thread title and I thought: "I hope they take this in like a MGS 4 spin, where he's like really old and using nanomachines or something." They have scenes where he's just like coughing and its like 10 minutes of him crawling under some laser grids while he slowly dies.

Didn't watch the fourth movie and won't watch this tbh. The first movie was a good story, second was a decent action movie. Pretty sure I never saw the third one, come to think of it.

This trailer looks pretty cool. It looks to me like they're doing a sort of Unforgiven take on it, one last ride for an old killer albeit with the climax basically being this movie's plot. Plus this is the first movie since, well the first movie to take place in America and not a foreign warzone so it'll be interesting to see if Last Blood takes it anywhere.

Not that a single movie could do it justice but I would be interested if they did a miniseries on the book First Blood seeing how they could do both the war experiences of both Rambo and the Sheriff.
The book really is its own beast from the movie, and as much as I love the movie, it's a wholly different experience. A good miniseries that contains the book's violence and themes would be awesome, because they are worth exploring and its a shame not even the original movie examined them that closely (outside of a few really subtle background details hinting at Teasle's military background).

Hey if there was a network that could pull it off I'd say HBO their track record with series' involving war is pretty good and with violence even more.

I can't wait for Rambo 6: We're Finished This Time For Realsies in 10 years.

(In all seriousness, I'll probably binge the series at some point before the movie comes out.)

Honestly i'm more surprised he isn't a woman then anything else in the trailer. (in the current year)
