After watching the movie, I'm 100% sure that this was definitely an "Easter Egg", especially based on the themes of sex trafficking etc. It was a hard movie to watch at times, but actually pretty based and redpilled. Gotta feel for Rambo.. Poor guy just got fucked over his entire life.

It was not what I was expecting, for sure. Definitely the most feels-tuggy Rambo. Good flick.

Also it could be intentional for the studio to use this to "plant the seed" for plot reasons, that's another possibility.
