Wow, Chris is really a text book example of regressive behaviour. He's becoming more and more childlike with each day. Even more than usual, that is. He's running away from his life.
While I agree he's not schizophrenic in the clinical sense, I think his acute level of autism produces some sort of break with reality more akin to a 4 year old.
I don't think he sees cartoons around him, but I think he very strongly imagines them. And that's good enough for Chris to prove their existence.
I dunno... he literally said he even tried to see if he could get someone else to see his discord hallucination. That makes me believe this goes beyond childish pretending. This could potentially be something similar to schizophrenia or multiple personality disorder. At the very least, this isn't explained by autism alone, that's for damn sure.
Side-note - I was particularly puzzled by Chris singling out someone or thing called Uzume as important in the OP, so I do a bit of Googling, and I find this - my italics.
'A dreamer girl who fights alone in a spirited way in order to save the Zero Dimension. She appears to be a tomboy in her human form, but in her Goddess form, she is much girlier.'
Hmm, yeah. I think I see why Chris thinks she's so great, among which.![]()
Better save Barb some room for when her physical shell expires. God knows she's going to want a premium stake in Cwcville's headspace.
So, Chris thinks that an anthropomorphic computer part is living inside of him. As a tech nerd this actually hurts to read

Lolcowdom knows no bottom.I wonder how much Chris can mentally regress?
This whole time I thought Chris would end up like Divine from Pink Flamingos, when in actuality he'll probably end up more like Norman Bates.Better save Barb some room for when her physical shell expires. God knows she's going to want a premium stake in Cwcville's headspace.
As an academic exercise, I wonder how much Chris can mentally regress?
No I was suggesting that Steven Universe game. It's if the early Paper Mario games had a television license and didn't spiral out of control. However.... My research shows he didn't do anything on PSN. Fatty might've been shuddering in anticipation of the mighty Hexbox and it's green glory.Oh God, don't tell me you're suggesting Chris got into A Hat in Time.
i don't think he's losing grip on reality, he's just never had a strong graspYeah, so okay he believes there's are alternate universes; lot's of people believe that.
He thinks his characters can contact him; uh okay, we can chalk that up to autism.
He told Doopie he could literally bend paper with the power of his mind waves; he thinks he has actual control over this world, on top of all the other stuff? Yeah he's losing grip on reality, I think someone needs to help him understand what's real and what's not.
As an academic exercise, I wonder how much Chris can mentally regress?
We're going to find it out, I guess. As long as Chris has his broadband connection.
Makes me wonder, if Barb's constitution has enormously deteriorated over the last weeks and if this is the main cause for his regress. He wants to be the littlegirlboy he once was - with caring parents (or at least Bob), no worries and "friends" Bob used to pay for being tolerant towards him.
