I'm probably splitting hairs here but I would consider those kinds of people to be more acquaintances than friends. Someone you hang out with once in a while and share interests with (regardless of whether those interests are drinking beer, watching sports, playing games, etc.) are acquaintances; friends are the people you hide corpses for.
I see what you mean, but they have shown that they are willing to do minor favors for him, like being on call for Barb while he is at Bronycon for example. This makes them more than acquaintances for him, it's just that they're not gonna do much more than that for him, and he doesn't really give them a reason to, you know?

He doesn't strike me as the person who would care or try to get people to open up for him.

It's worth mentioning that Jessica wasn't just opposed to him interacting with trolls, she was opposed to him even watching the Sachumo documentary.. Which veers into the realm of crazy IMO, because watching it had no downside for Chris nor the trolls whatsoever.

Let's assume for a second that jess was legit and just wanted what's best for Chris, then it would make sense to keep him away from us mean trolls and focus on his present/future rather than his past like the documentarie did. Chris is known for not letting shit go so reminding him about his failures/galpals/megan would be a bad thing because Chris would either obcess or get depressed.
Now let's say Jessica was just a troll, we telling Chris not to do something either results in him doing it anyway or doing it and trying to lie about it.

Interesting post overall.. Chris may have friends that may go to the cinema with him, but I don't think that he has or had friends that would invite him to their spaces or stick-up for him when he really really needs it (Like if he needed a loan or something). To summarize: He doesn't have anything more than somewhat superficial friends (Not necessarily pity friends, but not Help Him Hide a Corpse friends either), and I don't think he even knows that those friends even exist for other people, let alone find them.
Yes, they invite him to their spaces sometimes. But yeah, they probably won't loan him money or help him hide a corpse.

I think Chris is kinda aware that friendships can get more intimate. Though I bet he doesn't know how intimate (or not) his current relationships are. I think he's slightly aware that he can't just barge into their houses whenever they want, like Kramer. (I use that reference because if Chris read this post, he'd chuckle at it "hehe hehehe Kramer is funnay", and then his eyes would gloss over with autistic contentment at a random tv reference. Then he'll fart.)

Basically: I think Chris' thoughts are extremely "fuzzy". That's the feeling I've gotten from listening to him ramble over the years. He's got inklings, but nothing concrete.
Now if I had to answer the bolded question, I'd say he rarely brings those things up IRL, him being with friends enjoying some nerdy thing is a temporary panacea for his life worries, he doesn't need imaginary friends & CWCville if he is with real friends, he needs them when it's Monday afternoon and all his friends are at work, leaving him all alone with his toys, his dying mother & bills to pay.

Now I think he DOES bring up his RL problems, for example when that girl on Facebook reminded him about her aunt (?) that can help him find a job, which of course he ranted at instead.. That's a conversation that's almost impossible to even happen unless he told her about the Financhu Crisis. I imagine he does tell them about the bullies & trolls as well.
Yeah, that's a good point. Chris doesn't really get into the hardcore crazy shit when he's happy (with decent finances and friends to hang out with). It's specifically when his life is in the toilet that he starts getting nervous and praying to the alter of anime girls to save him from life.

See, (I don't mean to second guess you, but...) do you really believe that to be the case? Like, that's so bizarre to me. I think most people, if they honestly took stock of how they've used the word their whole lives, they'd agree there's some blurriness to what they'd call a friend.

There are shades of friends. Good friends. Better friends. Worse friends. Estranged friends. Friends who you don't see very often. Friends you see all the time.

I think people are selectively defining "friend" strictly just in this case.

Or, I suppose life experiences will affect this a lot. I think if you still live where you went to high school, I guess you have had a pretty fixed set of friends your whole life. Whereas, if you've moved around a bit, you might lose contact with someone for a bit. Doesn't mean they immediately lose their friend card. You might get back together again, and it's just like old times. Or maybe you drifted apart and you lost that spark. It could go either way.

I don't know, I've never in my life heard the term "friend" defined so strictly, except in this specific case with Chris. I find it strange.

Okay...who the hell is he asking? I thought this was HIS idea?
Thank you. I was wondering if I was the only one.

This reminds me of some of the paranormal youtube based RPGs where shit goes on "in real life" and you have to find and solve clues in the videos that will take you to to different twitter accounts and web sites where there's more info. I've been wondering if Chris is attempting to do something vaguely similar but much more basic and this new tweet is actually from an "alternate Chris" or some other character.

Yeah, I know. The answer is probably :autism:.

Huh...I'm surprised Pewdiepie left out Chris's waning grasp on reality. Most people on youtube seem to cover that fact.
It's probably because he doesn't want to make an hour long documentary on Chris like Sachumo did. I haven't watched the video yet, but I'd imaging that it would just be a "funny meems" type video where Pewds talks about CWC drinking his own navy.

I guess it's an example of him just not getting empathy.
No he doesn't understand it on a personal level. He is able to understand the concept of feeling for somebody but he can't feel it himself.

I've been going over the Kacey calls recently in my spare time and at the start when Kacey is pretending like he's Liquid he's sometimes aware that he's not the one she's referring to but he can't hold onto that thought and winds up talking about himself. He's literally pretending to be somebody he's not and failing at it so hard. The worst part is that Kacey was a terrible actress and obvious in her role as a troll but Chris never picked up on it. Anything for potentially getting some china right?

So when she confronts him, I think in the 3rd call, he just keeps saying, "I'm sorry" in the exact same way a child does when he's being scolded. When she asks what he thought he was doing Chris starts going on about how "he wanted to show the face of true love". He literally couldn't understand what he had done wrong. I'm pretty sure that the only time he's able to feel this is when it affects him directly.

Or that PoopyPie doesn't quite know about Chris to the extant of the typical Christorian and is just skimming the top of the sludgepool that is Chris just for an easy video.

To truly understand the fine qualities of what makes Chris so special in the saturated world of internet lolcows requires time. And with Poopy putting out at least a video a day, I can't imagine he'd put the amount of time in required to find a proper way to articulate or even properly understand what makes Chris special and instead just reads the first few things about him off of ED. But after seeing that first video, it doesn't even look like he even has that much interest in Chris than something more at which to gawk.

I don't want to watch his second video to prove myself right or wrong either because I'm certain Poopy Pie will not teach me anything new about Chris. And I certainly don't care about learning anything more of Poopy Pie.

Can it be fixed? I'm of the opinion that he's too far gone.

If it can be fixed, I'm nowhere near smart enough to know how to do that. People always say like, "oh hey, if Chris gave up on this tranny shit, sold all of his toys and games, dressed better, and left the house, everything would just fall into place." At this point he's so broken and deluded that he can't function. All Chris can do now is leave a legacy bigger than him, and, unless he's got some sort of batshit Vivian Girls lurking somewhere in 14 Branchland Court, Sonichu is that legacy.

I've read a POWs account of how he retreated into his own mind and built his dream house brick by brick, imagined himself building it in real time, as if going to work everyday.

Kind of off-topic, but I remember hearing about a POW who managed to keep his piano skills sharp by fantasizing about playing on a daily basis.

When he got home - 7 years later - it was as if he never stopped playing piano.

The human mind is a hell of a thing.

Chris would spend 7 years in his head macing employees and making women uncomfortable
7 years later it'd be like he never stopped

Now th

I still enjoyed the video. I'd recommend watching it more for entertainment than actually learning anything about Chris.

The absolute best case scenario here is to get him to look somewhat 'normal' for a transwoman, teach him how to manage his money and maybe land a part-time job somewhere that is somewhat lenient with his antics.

But the effort required to get him there is probably equal to the effort you'd spend on yourself becoming a Fortune 500 CEO or something. Nobody is worth the effort & time you would spend on fixing Chris, and that's if we assume you'd be successful at it. The only reason anyone should bother is because it's their actual job, like a court-appointed guardian or something similar.

Chris has been dealt a bad deck from the get-go with his backwards parents, autism & whatnot. He proceeded to make it even worse for himself with his very public reactions, He is also extremely used to his shitty life and its routines, and his autism & ego makes changing his self-destructive routines a near-impossible task unless something very, very drastic happens.

It sounds like he got electrocuted and his mind further shattered to the point where he developed some sort of split personality disorder, if he starts talking about the devil in someone's eyes- we'll know that it's a very special case of untreated (possibly violent) behavior. Chris's train is off the rails and about to crash into Cwcville: his lack of health care, living in a consistently disgusting house, and following the death of the only provider in his household. This is going to be a strange ending.
