Well Pewdiepie has millions of subscribers, doesn't surprise me that some people followed him just to keep up with the crazy. Apparently, reading the comments of the video, people had heard of Chris before but either forgot he existed or thought he wasn't a thing anymore.
I wouldn't be surprised if Chris comes back online with some crazy story about how he was in the other dimension helping his creations out. Just be patient. He always comes back.
Edit: besides IRL chris... how many other chris’s are there now?? 3? Cwcville chris, pony chris, human pony chris... missing any?

You should talk with @SoapQueen1 , who has been doing some excellent work tracking and estimating DSP's Patreon earnings.
I think some techniques they use can be utilized to estimate exactly how much Chris has brought in, instead of only having data points on the 1st of the month.
This is basically a flash in the pan. I would have expected more activity, views, and Patreon money, but that did not happen. Although he had a few request videos, it was nothing close to the 3.1 M views Pewdie got. I think it's extremely pathetic (on Chris' part), it's like an old King laughing at one of his royal subjects for wearing an old dress that does not fit and for having a huge facial tumor. Then a few other royal subjects come along and throw pennies and stale bread at the freak. Although I am very tickled at the irony of the situation, I'm still in disbelief that Chris can't see what's really going on. He probably thinks he's one sexy, hot lady who has made it to the pinnacle of her career using binaural beats and 90s mantras feminists abandoned long ago.
