Let's see here...who do we know that drew cartoon porn of the girl who friend-zoned him so he "wouldn't do worse things", openly ogled the tits of women he just met, kissed both chicks and guys he just met without permission, and has refused to take "no" for an answer with pretty much every woman he's set his heart on (which has pretty much been every woman who has spoken five words or more to him)? Who was the one who has been under the delusion that he is owed and entitled to being in a romantic relationship because "it was basically promised by God" (he had a few wet dreams)? Who could that be?
This is why efforts to help Chris will never work because he refuses to gain any insight into past behavior. His mental retardation can only explain so much, the rest is sheer arrogance and projection. What really pisses me off is how he can generalize so badly when the only left who genuinely want to help him are people with dicks.

Edit: Let me clarify a couple things. The amount I paid for the ring was less than its melt value in gold - that was my original thought. He was groaning about money, I sent a low offer for the ring, and he agreed.
Not even a few days later (the day after it came in the mail), I find out about Chris' odd behavior (see the Wise and Boyd post) and think to myself what could I do to help?
So it dawned on me - Chris is really big on shamanism and symbols (thanks @Marvin) so I simply told him that the ring was sending me morse code messages and that the idiots in Discord were lying to him. So I did a five minute photoshop of the ring glowing and sent it to Chris as well as a piece of notepaper where I wrote "The CPUs have been hacked. Don't trust the CPUs" claiming that was the morse code message.
Sure enough, Chris believed it because, y'know, amnyfest ring and proceeded to give me his passwords and everything else - that's how we got to where we are today.
As soon as I logged into Discord and realized that he had been forced to sell it, I told Chris that if he can come up with the couple hundred bucks I paid for it I'd send it back in a flash.
Sure enough he did and I fulfilled my side or the bargain - I sent it back.
Without that ring we may NEVER have found out what happened - @Null and @Marvin have known for months that I had the ring and that it was how I got in Chris' head in the first place.

But Chris letting go of a useless trinket was the most adult thing I've seen him do in years. And now it's back. And he probably thinks its thanks to a CPU goddess.
I think Chris can understand general concepts like consequences, "I needed money, I had to sell some shit", but I'm still going buy some useless junk, anyway. Unless this is some elaborate trolling scheme that will have the same effect, you're teaching Chris that
1. He's even more of a victim than he was before
2. People will continue to throw money at him until he's dead, which they won't unless he continues to escalate his antics.
Even though you guys think you may have some sort of leash on Chris, it will only enforce Chris' ego, leading him to think he's invincible, which will inevitably lead to more extortions in the future.

So I had him come up with the $$$ and did what I did. I still think he learned from this.
