I don't know about you guys, but releasing a DLC for a game that's 7 years old and you haven't cared about in years seems pretty pathetic. Especially when you're just about to release the sequel. I can only assume that they're really trying to milk it for all it's worth.Alright so I know this isn't really a Borderlands discussion thread but I really want to hear your input on this.
Now, it's been rumored (now confirmed) that a new BL2 DLC was on it's way and lo and behold it got leaked.About a month or two ago it was discovered that during an update of BL2 a bizarre rarity dubbed "rainbow" was implemented in the game. This was due to a mod that somehow made the probability for the rarity to appear almost instantly with any gun you'd find. Now this obviously wasn't meant to be used yet, though somehow the mod found it within the game files unintentionally. As you'd guess, it's called rainbow rarity as the gun's description text would shift colors and hues, whereas the well known rarities showed only one base color (White, Green, Blue, ect.)
If you head over to this imgur gallery you'll notice something very interesting:
This DLC will apparently be released this Sunday. If you put two and two together, this might be in a way celebrating Pride Month. My friend was able to deduct this quickly when I only put it off as trying to cash in on the Unicorn trend. It could be both.
I was hoping on showing you guys and thought it be too good to pass up on the possibility of Gearbox pandering to the LGBT+ crowd.
