Recently we've had a rash of threads asking various mundane or random questions in what i assume is an attempt to farm ratings without actually going and finding or making content.

These questions, where relevant to a single piece of content, should go in the thread relating to said content and, when more general, should go in the random thoughts and questions meta thread.

Lazy threads asking what your favourite chris shirt is or other banal crap should not clutter the front page. If a topic generates enough interest in the RTQ thread we can split it off on request but otherwise we get into a buffalo hot wings situation.

As ever think before posting remains the best guideline for this and any other forum. Do not post pointless or dull threads because you're bored and want a few more stickers.

For the record, there's a very good chance there's already a thread about the banal topic you're thinking about already. Though odds are, what you've said has already been said dozens of times by various posters and the problem I noticed over time is that these threads tends to repeat themselves even to the point where the same posters recycle the same responses each time the topic pops up.
