What a fag. I wonder why it hates its own skin colour so much.

Haven't been following it this cycle, but in 2016 /r/politics flipped from being pro-Bernie to pro-Hillary almost overnight.Damn, what a shame it would be if the /r/politics echo chamber got shut down even for a day, just such a shame indeed. I don't know how I could cope without being able to read 500 posts a day about how great Biden is and about how shitty Trump is.
I remember witnessing that change. It was completely inorganic, and go figure, shortly after it started leaking out that Hillary had paid some PR companies to "correct the record" online. I'm sure that a lot of the upvotes and downvotes on reddit were bots, automatically upvoting pro-Hillary comments and downvote bombing Trump or Bernie posts... Yet there were just so damn many individual posts and comments within the threads that completely shifted from being balls deep in Sanders campaign to arguing that Sanders was holding Hillary back etc. And even today they still accuse Sanders supporters of weighing down the DNC, they blame Sanders supporters for Hillary losing in 2016, and any comment which even comes close to pointing out that Biden is a creep is shouted down as either being a jilted Sanders supporter or a closeted Trump supporting racist bigot sexist super nazi.Haven't been following it this cycle, but in 2016 /r/politics flipped from being pro-Bernie to pro-Hillary almost overnight.
When Bernie folks got pissed they invented "bernie-bros" to pretend it was misogyny and not a reaction to astroturfing.
It's even in entertainment. The r/Nosleep mods have banned anything popular to "give others a chance", for example the Search and Rescue stories were too popular so anything involving forests as well as anything with "multiple stories" were banned.More internet bullshit from /r/Ireland, who have shut down their own subreddit. Mods there think being internet jannies entitles them to special protections by corporate executives:

We are electing to shut down r/Ireland until the admins can make the most basic - Pastebin.com
Pastebin.com is the number one paste tool since 2002. Pastebin is a website where you can store text online for a set period of time.pastebin.com
For the mods, the story begins when they were suffering sustained harassment for years. Getting doxxed, personal threats, that type of thing. However others allege one of the mods started it by telling users to kill themselves.
Rule #1 of being a content curator: Don't become the content yourself. /r/Ireland mods don't get that, which is why they suck everybody else into their internet bullshit.
These are the same exact mods who imposed a curfew on the subreddit during night-time hours for several weeks to ''curb right wing extremism''.
Context: Not a week after a media blitz began in the wake of George Floyd, where domestic news was looking under every rock and couch for examples of racism in Ireland, several racially diverse gangs video'd themselves performing genuine hate crimes against unsuspecting teenagers, using racially charged language like 'gut that feen' and stabbing the victim repeatedly.
Naturally, alt-right twitter ran with it, and the mods couldn't stomach such videos getting too much traction as it perforated the previous narrative.
All in all I don't have any sympathy for these mods. Notice how this shit never happens to mods that recuse themselves from politically charged internet drama? They want all the perks of being internet personalities (on fucking reddit of all places) and have used their powers to mistreat users that disagree with them, and now demand sympathy from the entire site when their enemies retaliate in exactly the way you'd expect. /r/Ireland is big in part because a lot of Irish people wanted to get away from another site which in years gone by was marred by narcs who thought the big number beside their usernames made them more important than everybody else. Now /r/Ireland mods are acting the same way, so hardly get to complain if their userbase jumps ship elsewhere
> A couple of hours later my mod account, my personal NSFW account, and the new account I made last week to try avoid being doxxed myself are suspended and flagged for "suspicious activity".![]()

This whole thing can be described with a very Irish saying.More internet bullshit from /r/Ireland, who have shut down their own subreddit. Mods there think being internet jannies entitles them to special protections by corporate executives:

I gave up on going to reddit in general for any real information some time ago, now I only go there to enjoy the bounty of their many, many lolcows.
Meh, it's been coming for awhile. Several boards and admins openly want to create a Resetera type system where any sort of right leaning thought or even basic disagreement is purged immediately with lifetime bans.
I'm kinda amazed all the porn boards are still up. It's probably only a matter of time until groups start going after those. Especially the anime/hentai ones since it seems anime is quickly becoming a battleground in the social justice wars.
