Har Hamor is a very conservative yeshiva in Jerusalem that recently - to the horror of the Israeli branch of globohomo - bluffed their way into Israel's parliament. The fact that they actually succeeded is hilarious, considering that they really don't have any support outside of a subsegment of a subsegment of the religious population. Their representative in the Knesset is always making speeches in the plenum about how the Israeli media is trying to "engineer the national consciousness" and all. It's beautiful.

Anyway, every year on the night after Sukkot ends, thousands of people come there to dance with the Torah the whole night:

I was there the year this particular clip was filmed:
They end off by singing the cooler alternative to Hatikvah (much better in both content and melody IMHO):
Some of my favorite highlights (bear in mind they repeat each song for around fifteen minutes) :
1. Psalms 144:15

2. Psalms 19:8

3. Psalms 19:9-10

4. Isaiah 26:2

5. Psalms 24:7, 10

Here's a playlist of the whole thing.

I also love this. Sung by a male choir from Urk, a former island in the Netherlands:
Aside from burning down Covid test centers (based?) it's known for precisely two things:
1. Being the single most Christian conservative municipality in the Netherlands, with a plethora of churches that all hate each other.
2. Being the home of a thriving, unique local culture of men wearing one earring, along with two gay writers and a (supposedly) straight one who penned a very popular series about an "Inspector De Cock".

Back in the mid 90s when Big Band and swing music had a revival, my friend got this CD of a Christian band called The W’s that played that style. Used to listen to this particular song quite a bit back in the day

"The Dark Night of the Soul" - Loreena McKennitt. The lyrics is by the Spanish Christian mystic Saint John of the Cross. While superficially it sounds like a secular love song, it reminds us that God is not just to be worshiped and venerated; He wants us to seek him out and love Him as well.

"Dante's Prayer" - Loreena McKennitt. "Please remember me; please pray for me" is the common plea of the sinful souls in Dante's Inferno, and the bond that holds the fellowship of the Church, the Body of Christ, together.

Dolly Parton's album Halos and Thorns is entirely about the seeking of faith and spirituality from different creeds and perspectives.

Blessed be the Day, a traditionalist Catholic song and the anthem of the Tradition, Family and Property movement.
🎶 O, blessed be the day that shall see Our Lady's victory!
And cursed be the Revolution, crushed in defeat!

Some more TFP songs for you all:
This song talks about an incident where some TFP members threw statues of the Pachamama, which were being displayed in the church of Santa Maria in Traspontina into the Tiber.

There are also a couple of knockoff versions of Catholic songs from France:
La Chanson de Roland:
Le Roy Louis:
Le Chant de Fidélité:
as well as one in Spanish about Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar, a conquistador.
Through the streets of Spain, El Cid, my warrior, goes.
Bajo castillos y campanas, pelea por rey y señor.
Below castles and bell towers, he fights for his king and lord.

On hearing that man's name spoken, the Moors used to tremble.
That man was brave; he was worth more than a thousand.

Caballero todo ejemplo, que jamás retrocedía,
A truly exemplary knight, who never retreated,
because in the battle or in church, he was a slave of Mary.

His just sword never hesitated before evil.
For a weak and lazy king, he is a vassal without equal.

His legend conquered down the centuries of history.
