Feedback Rename Rat King to Troon Town -

The Rat King forum is great, but it doesn't really serve an ADF-centric purpose anymore. Right now it's just about a bunch of troons that like to call themselves women but in reality they're a bunch of has-been and never-was men with beards.

I say rename it to Troon Town and make Roger Rabbit in drag the official mascot.

While it probably works better for the common people that are featured there these days. But I just can't help but like the rat king title, which really covers the phenomenon which grew out of the era of internet feminism.

It's not just ADF though, Laurelai and Nora Reed were big contributors to the tag growing into the subforum it is now. All of the biggest threads there are either people that knows and is friends with ADF (Richard/Terra, Greta, Eden Belmont, Toren, Kengle, Jordan Davis) or know someone that knows ADF (Morgan Thorp, NekoArc, Zinnia, Laurelai and by that extension Nora, David Gallant, Tim Craig, Trooner Man Boyd)

All of these people have one or two degrees of separation. And Sarah Nyberg is also generally a connecting piece for these people, she's retweeted frequently or defended by all of them.

There are bizarre internet trannies that have nothing to do with these people at all, it's still a pretty specific group imo.

I definitely think that's a funny and largely appropriate name, however there is a critical distinction missing. My understanding of the origin of "Troon" is a portmanteau between Trans + Goon, which traditionally refers to a Something Awful member, at least in this forums context.

Rat King is a more *inclusive* term, and is a bit more descriptive, overall, since nearly all of those Cows are linked through twitter, patreon, etc. Historically speaking, it's theorized that Rat Kings where stuck together not only by their knotted tails, but by having a thick glue of shit sticking their fur together...again, appropriate for the tranny tales within, especially Locria

I vote to keep it as Rat King. Troon Town might roll off the tongue easier, but the imagery of a massed pack of crazed, feral animals, tied together by their own asses and packed in filth, is just ... appropriate.

I disagree. Most of these people have direct links to ADF, and those that don't are within 1 degree of separation. I'd actually argue that they're closer to ADF than they were before. Look at the recent threads, ADF is commenting at all these people. Also, there are cis people and non-binaries who aren't trans in the sub as well.

Nonbinary/enby kids are under the transgender umbrella, though. If you look up how it's been defined it's not referring to change of state (like every other word starting with trans- lol) but basically anyone who isn't 'cis'. Blame the dipshits who coined it for being bad at etymology.

But in any case I would leave it as it is, yeah. Using 'rat king' to describe the group of shitheels using LGBT as a vehicle for their actions is creative and I hope it catches on.

I have to go with "Troon Town", and with the condition that 'Rat King' be reallocated to a thread label, much like the "Horrorcow", "Skitzocow", "Careercow", etc. in the Lolcow forum. That way it can encompass the new splinter groups that have formed as well as the old favorites.
