Repeal the 19th amendment? -

The vote should be restricted to people I agree with
That’s what everyone who wants to restrict voting rights is actually saying
If the people who have the most valid stake in my country and its elections also happen agree with me, wouldn't that actually just be a vindication of my politics rather than some effort of mine to curtail opposition? I wouldn't even be able to vote for the next 10 or so years (at least) under my most preferred set of voting laws.
Frankly, motions to restrict voting rights seemingly prioritize increasing the value of votes, regardless of position supported, and this is unsurprising given that the power of one vote has become increasingly dilute even just during their lifetime, due to high birthrates and rampant legal immigration, and can only possibly become more dilute over time. This is the same reason many Americans prefer local and state bodies to have control over many things - they feel more empowered to change a law or regulation in those bodies than they do in the federal state, where the entire country at this point reports feeling disaffected, regardless of political affiliation.
The fact that the people who tend to get cut out of any voting reform also vote for incredibly exceptional things and the most openly malicious politicians is only probably a happy coincidence.

So do trans women or trans men get the vote in this case? Sorry tumblr has me confused.

Nah, but introduce an additional amendment requiring an ID to vote instead. An ID that proves that you are a legal resident of one and only one state.

Speaking of amendments, I'd also like to see one that bans the burning of the American flag.

Who decides who has the most valid stake in the country and its elections? Why should I give up my rights and not vote upon my ideals because somebody else's are "more valid"?

Other issues with this aside, is flag burning really such an epidemic that we need to go to the trouble of passing a goddamn constitutional amendment over it? And what compelling reason is there to make the burning of my own property illegal just because of the pattern the piece of fabric I happen to be burning had a certain design stitched into it in some Chinese sweatshop?

Burn all the fricking flags. Nation based pride is all about dividing us from our common goal of having enough food and enough land to support ourselves as individual persons.
Supporting the division of resources as divided by our borders just plays into the hands of the ruling capitalist systems.
Please someone justify modern capitalism as a system that benefits the majority, rather than the few.

It used to be the law that you needed to own property in order to be allowed to vote. Theory being that property owners had the most invested in society to be the ones to care about the outcome.

I would bring back the general idea but with a change. In order to vote or hold political office, you need to have children of your own. People without children seem to me to lack a certain attachment to the future and success of society.

@SkeetNYeet clap back dude. Rather than just rating me dumb. Would love to see those sharp debating skills you've developed over the years ☺
I'll admit my debate skills are shit but let's see if I can stay half coherent and at least let you know I'm not just fucking with you.
The modern capitalist society is trash and I'll admit I'm not one of those "democracy is the best system and it got us where we are" kind of people. I just find your idea that the country is divided and the idea of a nation to be just for the rich to be retarded. It sounds very communistic/globalist with a tinge of libertarian, the former I find to be fucking retarded and the latter I find to be naively optimistic.
I also strongly believe nation based pride is incredibly important to a society and country as a whole. Without it you end up just being tribal and have no cohesion with your neighbors. And nations themselves are just a conglomerate of city-states and provinces, so pride in the small in just magnified through society. The small make up the big picture and so on.
The countries resources are divided based on location and not much else. It's not for the rich. Again, it's just that the rich have taken over the country.

TL;DR: I think you put the cart before the horse and it sounded dumb to me.

Also I 100% support the freedom to burn a flag although I feel nowadays it's done way more to be edgy and in-your-face then it was back in the 60's when people were being forced to go kill in some foreign country and being treated like shit when they got back.
