Today I regret to announce that the death of Isabel Rosa Araujo has been confirmed. This is the first time in the 3 years of this forum's history that we have been directly at fault for a murder. I am sincerely apologetic for enabling this.
Our sources confirm that Isabel attempted to perform her own penectomy and castration after posting her Facebook status saying that she was going to end her own life. This is presumed to be due to her constant denial of proper medical provisions that would allow Isabel to undergo the procedure safely.
Isabel attempted to call police after she could not stymie the bleeding on her own. The EMTs who arrived on the scene could also not halt the blood loss. It was later determined that complications from her diabetes was preventing proper hemorrhaging and was ultimately the fault for loss of life.
This is a dark day not only for our community, but for the trans community as well. Isabel, as we all know, was an avid right's activist not only for trans rights, but for women's rights, and for the herspanics community. We have lost a shining gem that may never be replaced, a perfect culmination of all things good in the world -- a rose, if you will.
That is why I will be dedicating the next few months to writing a biography for the life and story of Isabel so that everyone may hear of her bravery. It will be written in full collaboration with Isabel's close friends, who have already agreed to take in giving their story.
BUY NOW! Less than 100 or the 400 pre-order books remain!
If you would like to pre-order Her Struggle: Living Latinx in Transphobic America, please PM me so I can get a headcount. Pre-orders will receive a hardback copy before its release in stores. 10% of all profits will go to helping Israelis affected by the Palestine conflict.
Thank you guys for reading, and may we all be a little bit better as people after today.
If you would like to contribute your own art or sympathies, I would encourage you to do so in this thread.
