ROTC is still averaging 16K per show, Nightwave just under half that. The Ralph Retort at its peak never saw those daily numbers on Youtube consistently like this. People claim bots but I don't buy it, the chat and comments make those numbers feel organic. So it must be Mersh drawing these big numbers through his personality. He has a kind of sarcastic, slightly humble and happy-go-lucky 90s "vibe" to him; like he'd be the kind of guy to compliment you when you do well and not judge you too harshly when you do poorly. And he's willing to go up and talk to anybody, so it's always an interesting night out with him.

It was cool to have friends like Mersh back when you wanted to party and hang out. Now you are older with no energy and several divorces and medical-bankruptcies under your belt, it's good to be reminded of your care-free youth. Mersh delivers this because he never lost the attitude of growing up in the late-90s early-2000s, he is a blast from the past and kind of weirdly melancholy because he makes you wonder why you bothered to grow up and become an embittered fat loser with debilitating sexual fetishes. Mersh proves it didn't have to be that way, and there's something beautiful and almost addictive about seeing that.

Is this what ROTC and Mersh paypiggies see in him? Even if this was true, it's barely a unique personality, so many late Gen X'ers and millennials are like this.

I love this cause not long ago Jesse was talking to Sam like he ripped off Podawful's set for his podcast he doesn't do anymore. I think it was called The New Pill.
I didn't know it was as well known as this that Podawful is a hack ripoff, maybe it was Jesse leaning into a bit or something but he's so untalented and boring I can see him wanting to believe people secretly watch his show. The funny part is, the visuals for World Peace / Hydewars stuff actually meshes well with their content and editing. None of these visuals reflect the content Jesse talks about. Others never got to be around a guy like Mersh back then, so this is them scratching an itch they have had all this time.

There's also another type of guy that is a fan of Mersh, the guy who aspires to be "right wing" because he hates obnoxious faggy types but is hopelessly porn-sick, weed-addicted, you name it. He likes Mersh because Mersh is right wing and "against degeneracy" while obviously being a sick twisted guy himself. He is saying "you can be right wing and hate lefties even if you are obese, have no kids, haven't read Evola, alcoholic, gay, atheist, you name it".

But the former is more common and is the bread and butter of Mersh. Even Royce fits into that category. Mersh is actively trying to get rid of the latter category of his fans, presumably because they are depressing.

And 16k views per show is an inexplicably large number. Imagine watching an ROTC replay, you would have to really give a damn about what Mersh has to say and actively hunt out the content. With live viewers you can argue they are just watching whatever is on, but big replay numbers are something else.

I wonder if he excitedly posted this in his car once he left the range, or if it was in fact a carefully crafted pose made from the comfort of his shoe-box apartment.

At a glance there are a few vibes I pick on from this...

• He's acting like a white woman again
• He also sounds like a retard/man-child triumphantly declaring he did a thing

This whole thread really is just about Mersh at this point. Royce does his thing and lays low for the most part. Royce is the only reason I can still stand to watch ROTC. Nightwave is unbearable. Mersh tards out regularly on both shows and twitter.

15 minutes into every nightwave someone in the chat says something rather harmless and he can't help but spend an hour crying about people telling him what to do. With Royce there for ROTC, there is always something else to redirect Mersh's attention to chase the next squirrel and keep him from staring at chat the whole time.
