Probably just jealous because he might have felt shafted before, he try’s to play things off but in reality it really comes down to him being petty and he’s proven that before. Also most of his viewer base is too far gone to save, they spend more time defending his hot takes than asking questions about his positions.

Yes and no. you get it for involuntary dismissal from your job via your contract. Part of severance pay is a do not sue contract, but they’re also used as a do not compete clause since without that nothing would prevent the exec from going to a rival company with all the insider knowledge they have. It also prevents them from going to the press with gossip about the company.

But a lot of the time it’s really just there so the company fulfills its contractual obligation. When hired as an executive, you agree to work for a set amount of time for a certain pay. In this GameStop guy’s case it was $700,000 a year. At the end of the contract term the board of directors usually votes to determine if they want to continue with him or just not renew the contract. No severance is needed at that point. This guy had 2 years remaining, so his severance pay was the two remaining years pay plus whatever bonus he was eligible to receive. He could have easily sued them for not keeping their contractual obligation to him.

It really just boils down to rich not understand executive jobs and just assuming he was getting money for, as he put it “fucking up.”

The intros just aren't funny. I wish he'd tone them down but the comment sections are full of retards praising him for the absurdist intros.

Sometimes I'll see his clickbaity titles and think: huh, what's this about? Instead of sitting through the whole damn video ('cause it's usually centered around a baseless rumor), I try to get the "jist" by glancing at the comments and it's nothing but irrelevant jokes every fucking time. Either channel-related memes or "these intros getting craaazy lol—" it's incredibly frustrating.

I remember when the channel was mostly news-based with a fairly witty audience. Now it's kids/retards regurgitating the same jokes over, and over, and over, and NO discussion of the topics in the video.

I don't understand why you'd want this branding, so to speak. It's off-putting for newcomers and exhausting for old fans who just want the news.

It's all apart of that RTU charm, you get overused and played out jokes and channel memes with little to no effort. The paypigs control the quality of the channel because they keep paying him and indulging his "humor". You can thank the simps who kept paying him $200 to take his shirt off for the acceleration downhill. Rich's advertised "baked" streams are so overdone yet it is supposed to have some kind of appeal to bring people in still. I'm surprised he would even have any old fans left, anyone who speaks up or says anything about the quality of the video or streams he just responds by saying "Bye, if you don't like it you don't have to stay. And if people leave because of this, they would have left eventually anyway because of something else". So Rich knows people will leave he just doesn't give a fuck and isn't afraid of telling people.

I’m not defending DSP, my point is that Rich points out the shady shit dsp does while he has a history. The only difference between them is that when called out, Rich will admit he fucked up and be a good boy for 5 minutes before moving on and trying some other shit, while Phil on the other hand just don’t give a fuck. One day Rich will also just say fuck it and do the same, he hasn’t reached the point yet.

How many times has he done this? You think by this point, he learn to double check his sources or be more critical about gaming sources, but I guess not.
