Dutton is the alt-right's favourite "scientist" and regularly writes for Spencer's National Policy Institute, I highlight that word because his PhD is in Religious Studies and he has no credentials or expertise in any science field. Correct. Correlational studies are pretty bullshit and shouldn't be used to make policies.

I'd love to look deeper into this so called correlation that paedophilia normalisers love to bring up and falsely equate to porn's correlation with rape, but it's treacherous territory. I have access to all major databases for peer reviewed studies but I don't want to get put on a watchlist for these unimaginable and disgusting phrases I must put in to bring them up.

Spoiler: Perspective from stats

As for the debate, there's three camps as anyone would expect. First is viewing this shit substitutes urges, thus decrease the rates, and they argue for simulations. Second is viewing this shit normalises the acts and increases the rates. Third is my position as well, correlation studies are very weak and a link is hard or impossible to be established. Ethically, I'll go with the second, pornography is basically one step towards normalisation.

There's so many problems with correlation studies. Child molesters aren't necessarily paedophiles because some fall under the "control and manipulation" bracket, where they seek the defenceless, which are kids, women, and the elderly. They won't get shit from consuming CP, they probably don't consume that stuff. Then there's a strong correlation between viewing extreme and illegal pornography and the obviously illegal CP, these people also view snuff films, gore, and consume zoosadism material, are they more or less likely to act on it, are they actually paedophiles, or are they just sick fucks with bloodlust towards innocence (kids, animals)?

I'm reading the article and I think you're really reaching with that interpretation. The entre article is about the extreme overlap between homosexuality and child abuse and pedophilia, I don't think the takeaway should be that he is a child rape apologist.
