I hate that show. Alcoholism for comedic value is played out and unfunny. The constant burping is annoying and unfunny. The animation style is atrociously bad. Professor Brothers has an ugly animation style too but it is charming in its own way. A great portion of the humor revolves around abusing a boy. In the pilot - pre network show Rick coerces Morty in giving him a blowjob which is some weird pedo shit. I don't think humor about raping a boy and abusing him in all manner of ways is funny. The humor overall is very juvenile. Worst of all is the pretentiousness of the fans of the show who think they are intelligent and that if you don't like the show it's because you don't understand it.
This is just my opinion. If you like the show I'm not knocking you.

That episode where they're watching inter-dimensional TV and it's just an excuse to animate some pretty bad improv sketches seems to be a fan favourite (such a mind-blowing concept, they like just went and like animated these hilarious bits they came up with on the spot) but I hated it, it was lazy, sloppy and just unfunny.
Looks better than Rick and Morty.

Meh. I'd rather take my chances with Rick and Morty, the way it is now, sadly enough... Since there's very little inspiration / potential on display here for anything, other than being called a rip-off of this show this we're obsessed over in this thread, as it is.
That's especially gonna fucking ring true if it doesn't do something of positive note, in terms of actual laughs for example, right outta the starting gate.
