I just discovered that Mr Cynical (aka “the invisible anchor”) from Twitter who is an anime blogger that also likes Rika a lot. I discovered him because he had the same avatar as me, and he tweeted at Darkmatter2525 whoose videos I watch too. He’s a good writer and wrote that he has some sort of medical problem remembering things, which forces him to always live in the present like an existentialist:
He also has taken a hard core affinity to Nietzsche’s philosophy. He claimed Niezsche would hate the alt-right, and yet he hangs out at /a/ and sometimes visits /pol/. He also attacks Marxists, and thinks they and the environmentalists are anti-life.
That line of attacking Marxists and environmentalists sounds rather dogmatic to me, (and it makes me wonder whether he takes global warming seriously, or thinks more conflicts will be good.) I suppose there are worse schools of philosophy someone could cling to like Ayn Rand, or racist identity politics. I agree with him that existentialism is certainly a good way to live for someone who has problems with memoriy, (and guess he is unlikely to cause harm by following it.)
I also agree about Rika being the best possible anime avatar for existentialist philosophy. Rika must choose how she wants to live in a world of eternal recurrence. It’s funny how people who follow certain philosophies often seem to choose the same avatars to represent them. I think most commonly anime avatars pay homage to our heroes. It’s fascinating.
A user in the waifu thread noticed Rikafag...
Human Institute Director said:
It's principally used as a joke but some people take it very seriously. I remember one guy on /a/ who was known for having Yuno as a waifu, because everytime her name was used on the board or when the context would allow him to talk about her, he'd pop on the thread in a matter of seconds to post and talk about their relationship. He'd take it very seriously and write a lot about their "daily life", sex included ofc. At some point he opened a website to explain how "meeting Yuno saved his life" and how Yuno loved him too. If someone else posted her, he'd attack him relentlessly because according to him, she was his waifu (and only his).
Eventually he migrated because people couldn't take his autism anymore.
Now, the question is, can it get worse than that?
Yes, it can. Meet Rikanon, self-admitted child prostitute fucker.
