I liked em well enough, never one of my favorite American oi! bands, but pretty good. When it comes to 1988 US skinhead stuff on the "not really fash but definitely far right enough to get banned on discogs" end of things the crowning jewel for me are Best Defense.

Surprisingly great songwriting hidden in the muck, hooks spilling out of hooks. Love the shitfaced passionate vocal performance, I can tell he's slurring about 'America' and 'communists' and 'faggots' in most of the songs, but can't make much out besides that


I really gotta be in the mood for that cartoon aggro American stuff though. I usually like my oi! jangly and british.

One of the German bands of the 90s that seems to be almost forgotten is Wotan, they only made 10 tracks of which 3 are political in nature. After their album got censored by the German state, a gutted version was released later with 2 of the 3 removed. Back when I acquired a CD secondhand of that version, advertised as Hard Rock, I was a bit puzzled since a single song where leftwingers get called spineless and weak seemed very out of place compared to the rest.

Anyway, their best song (imo at least) and the only one that made it on youtube is about warriors becoming einherjar, fitting since their band name is derived from the Wagnerian moniker for Odin.

An American Oi band, that wasn't around very long, but made some good music imo.
Interesting fact is that the cover of their album Land and Heritage, had the Celtic cross that was featured on the cover blocked out with a giant red X when it was released in Europe, and no it wasn't the celtic cross symbol that's associated with White Nationalism, it was a statue of a Celtic Cross that you would see outside of a church.
