The person listed above doesn't fit the preconceptions of a lulcow to most of the Kiwi-farm users. This person isn't ranting on obscure youtube videos about people not respecting children's cartoons, yet that doesn't definitively define a lulcow. A lulcow is a delusional person that can be milked or in some of the best cases "self-milked". It doesn't matter if they're living under a bridge in Oakland or living the high life.

Roderick Leverne Cox aka Laverne Cox is a Male to Transsexual actor known for his role as "Sophia Burset" in Orange is the New Black. Before his work on the acclaimed Netflix series, he starred in Uncle Stephanie as a histrionic transsexual who flirts with some white boys. Check the wacky trailer here:

The media has given him a shroud of legitimacy, even when he he says the most ludicrous things in existence. Some of the ludicrous quotes:
"When a trans woman gets called a man, that is an act of violence."
"If you have a problem with people living their lives and being authentically who they are, you really should go and do some soul-searching. "
"Justice is what love looks like in public."

These feel-good shallow quotes wouldn't be so bad, if the impact was solely on some minor tumblr blog. The quotes are passed around like Ecstasy at a rave by delusional individuals as "empowerment" on sites like facebook, buzzfeed and other sites. If any other celebrity uttered nonsensical sentences like these, they would rightfully be compared to Jaden Smith.

Some of the readers of this thread might be thinking that "There's other celebrities who do the same shit of being a pseudo-intellectual activist." That is absolutely correct and you wouldn't be wrong for thinking that. The other celebrities aren't being constantly defended by the Mass Media, LGBT Community and other forces, when somebody questions their whole narrative though.

When Kevin Williamson of the National Review wrote the article "Laverne Cox isn't a Woman", ee created a shit storm for something that is undeniably true. He didn't talk about moon crystals curing cancer or peddle Lupron to Autistic children. The outpouring negative response from the mainstream media, can be googled for those who want to read the "rebuttals".

Roderick Leverne Cox had a famous incident of being trolled by the Silvia Rivera Project. Roderick thought it would be the usual saccharine advocacy video of letting some poor "transgender" woman, the right to not be placed in a male's prison. What actually did happen is that the person Cox was being told to advocate for was a disgusting career criminal rapist who murdered a 13 year old black girl! The video was taken down, but why would Cox let the video go up in the first place?

It's either he supports the organization and they pulled some trickery on Roderick. It could also be that he supports the organization and didn't do research. Here is the now deleted video, and kiwifarms can judge for themselves:

Going away from that depressing snafu would be the original reason I started the thread. I found out that Roderick Cox pulled a super lulcow move and tried deleting things from his wikipedia article. His justification is that referring to him as Roderick leads to getting harassed. If you don't get it, I don't get it either. Roderick's narcissistic edits were under an account named "Lavernecox3000". The first few edits were trying to hide Roderick's involvement, but he confessed it was him later. Here is the image album of the Wikipedia Edits:

So, we're going to try this again.

For the uninitiated, I've deleted 330+ replies to this thread. All of them were shit. Every single reply was shit. Most of it was shitposting about how there was shitposting in the thread.

All of you are exceptional. This community is exceptional. You guys have no concept of how to deal with things you don't like and that is absolutely fascinating considering what sort of a forum this is. I don't know how we ended up with a population that is 50% transgender/lgbt-"ally", but it has slowly rotted away at what the very notion of a lolcow is. We've become Imgur-lite, a shitty, reactionary website filled with easily offended prudes who can't even stomach something they don't like being on the same domain name as where they post.

You people are so fucking easy to troll, all one has to do is make an alt account and say something disagreeable to end up with a 400 reply thread in under 12 hours. This has happened numerous times. Introman isn't here to troll, but he knows how preposterously easy it is to offend the LGBT community. He's a contributor to RoK, a troll website, which is the parent company that owns Reaxxion, also a troll website. I've said this multiple fucking times and nobody believes it because you'd all rather cry about dumb shit.

A fully grown wxmyn with a professional acting career engaging in an edit war on Wikipedia over their birth name is fucking stupid and funny. If you can't see that, you're in the wrong place.

All of our recent rules have been setup to protect people from themselves and encourage quality posting. Nobody cares about what you consider to be a passing transexual. Nobody cares about your personal stories. Nobody cares if you don't think this person is a lolcow. If you think the thread is off-topic, report it. Your shitposting does not fix anything, and as far as I'm concerned, disrupting conversation is a form of backseat moderating. If you can't get a thread locked, just make the thread as shitty as possible, right? Nah, not anymore -- I'm going to start threadbanning people if you decide you're going to take SOCIAL JUSTICE into your own hands and puke into the reply box to fuck with the conversation.

This thread would have died if you fucking morons didn't reply to it. There are less lolcowish people on the last page of this forum that sank because people just didn't reply. That didn't happen here because the topic was a transexual, and that's your fault.

I made this promise a year ago. Lest we forget:

2) Transgender Debates
Don't bring tranny shit into every thread. Take it to Deep Thoughts. If you can't access off-topic and/or don't want to be formally challenged on what you think, don't bring it up.

This includes
Gender versus Sex
"Chris isn't a LEGIT tranny" whining

Dicktucking drama ruins communities. It's a cancer in the PVCC, it tore apart the Lolcow boards, and I won't let that happen here. I will burn it out of the forum before I let it control every discussion.
Edit: This is also not a thread to discuss this post. Make a Forum Discussion thread if you're inclined.

If you do prisoner's rights shit of any kind, you're going to end up defending the rights of some pretty terrible people.

Consider Norman Mailer, for instance, who led a campaign to get a guy named Jack Abbott, a murderer, released because he'd written a book Mailer found compelling. Six weeks after the guy gets out, he murders another dude. Whoops.

Upon learning of the horrific circumstances prompting Blast's incarceration, Cox asked the Sylvia Rivera Law Project to remove the video, writing on her Tumblr, "I was not aware of the charges for which she was convicted. If I had been aware of those charges, I would have never agreed to read the letter."

See, I think I would respect her more if she just stuck to her guns about prisoner's rights. Instead she backpeddles like, "Oh shit, that's why she's spent most of her life in prison!? If I'd known she was a bad person I wouldn't have given two shits about her rights!"

Not that miss Synthia China Blast (I cannot type that without snickering) deserves sympathy. It just makes Cox look so weak willed, as if she thought supporting prisoner's rights wouldn't put her in the position of defending murderers and rapists, which is especially odd considering she plays a criminal on Netflix.

I don't know about you guys, but I feel like a lot of people here are a little bit mad. I haven't watched Orange is the New Black and I have no idea who Cox is and I think this could be something.

Cox's behaviour online is very self-centred or Narcissistic and tries to paint themselves as perfect individuals and are unable to accept that they have made bad choices or said the wrong thing. Remember that actors aren't their characters, whatever Cox portrays in Orange is the New Black is not a representation of the person, stop being delirious, you twats.

Next you'd be saying the Duggars aren't lolcows either.

Good to know that you're changing the rules about celebrities not getting threads! Someone should do one on Anne Rice; she has a long, storied history of sperging out at people who don't like her books.

It's a perfect example of why you need to do your research before you support something. She probably thought it was the perfect platform for her, since it was a chance to pimp a personal cause and tie it back to the show she's on. If she'd looked it up, she could have made an informed decision; instead, she looks like an asshole for defending a horrible person and then like a wimp for backing out.

I don't watch the show, but I'm guessing the prisoners are supposed to be at least mildly sympathetic. She probably assumed that the person in question was an IRL version of her character instead of a terrible monster.

The show is based off the book, (which is a narrative of the authors time in prison) most of the characters in the book and show are portrayed as victims of circumstance, people who got caught up with bad people or just plain old psychopaths. The author of the story was never sent "down the hill" where they keep the murderers and real criminals so the story focused mostly on the different prisoners that befriended Piper and the inadequate nature of the US prison system.

Leverne Cox's character in the book didnt have a huge role in the book and didnt work as a prison hairstylist like she does in the show, instead she worked in the kitchen (much to the chagrin of the head cook) and was a huge Jesus-freak who loved to bellow out gospel songs and urged people to turn to Christ for guidance.

If she really denied one transgender person what she promoted as being a natural right for transgender people, she doesn't believe in the cause.
I have to wonder if it's even a good idea. If Synthia was FTM instead of MTF I doubt she'd want to be kept with her "peers." Either way, I don't think female prisoners would be any more accepting of her identity or her crimes. So what's the point? She complains about being kept in solitary for long periods but that was probably as much for her own safety as the other prisoners. If I was in prison I'd shank the fuck outta her.

I don't care if you consider her a lolcow or not, but just, y'know, don't be an asshole? Supporting the wrong things, Wikipedia edit wars etc. are funny, your transphobia isn't.
Next you're gonna say Autism isn't funny.

We don't hate transexuals or transgendered, but we're not going to treat them differently with regard just because of it.

Next you'd be saying the Duggars aren't lolcows either.
They aren't. Their daughters were abused by their oldest son, they covered it up, waited three years to report him and get him help. They then gave him therapy, but no consideration was given to their daughters. Their idea of "solving" the issue was to get a befriended cop to give a 'stern talking to' to their son. Said cop later got arrested for possession of child pornography. They're are fucked up people and borderline child-abusers. Very shitty and neglectful parents at the very least. Child abuse isn't funny.

Laverene Cox is just a stupid tumblrina. But she is more of a Lolcow then the Duggars, who should not be given any more attention then they have already received, if only for the sake of their children.

A crazy SJW actress is someone you can laugh at without harming anyone. A cult is a whole different ball game.

Absolutely. However, there's a bigger issue here.

Laverne could have said "all people should have the right to choose between two prisons." But she didn't.

'Ordinary prisoners have paperwork determine their destination. The transgender prisoners are special and therefore deserve the right to choose.'

Equal rights are when laws reject the notion that some people deserve different treatment under them.

Equality is when people reject birthrights - of race, sex, sexual orientation, nobility...

Stop this shit before you get into another Tumblr circlejerk.
If you're getting offended on a website where the vast majority frequent sites like Encyclopaeda Dramatica then I think you're on the wrong website.

But yeah.
That editing is pretty dumb.
At least Chris didn't use his real name.
Eh. I'm not offended, I just think that people should have the right to self-determination, whether it be in regard to gender or any other aspect of your identity. Though, yes, it is dumb that she used her real name as her Wikipedia account name. She was, however, in the right in correcting the article - it is general Wikipedia policy not to mention the birth name in articles about transpeople who were not famous until after they transitioned. See the articles on Calpernia Addams and Marie France for examples.
