It's hard to tell with how they altered the speed on the video, but it could be anything from a rock to a sponge. It would help if one knew what material the stage is made out of.

I think it's glass because it looks like it cracks when the object hits the floor. There's a mark there that doesn't seem to exist before it impacts.
