Summary

Ron Collins is a West Virginia fake martial artist and real pile of social dysfunction. He's been a petty criminal for over a decade, including charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and assault on a Federal officer. He claims to have been an MP, but his military records contradict that. Best of all, he couldn't get up the nerve to fight his arch-enemy when they met face to face, so he agreed to fight some other dude to show he wasn't skeered. He got his ass handed to him, of course, but it suggests that he can be trolled into doing nearly anything. This lolcow's man-tits have not run dry.

Ron was an 11B10 (the 10 is his skill level meaning E1-E4 Private to Specialist) so he wasn't ever an MP.

He's said to have made claims to have been a Force Recon Marine, but I can't find any current evidence of that.

Ron Collins, Great Martial Artist

If you take Ron's word, he's a great martial artist. He began training Shotokan karate at the age of four, and had a black belt in that art by the age of 8. Also in judo. And Jujitsu.

TL;DW: Ron was actually playing a mental chess game with Roley, furthering a civil suit he intends to file against his fellow ninja. (It is not clear how this incident helped that in any way, and at this writing I know of no such lawsuit.)

so he got a gay pride ribbon, the good cookie medal, served in Korea and completed at least one tour there during the war on terror in Iraq.

he completed Basic in Benning (about the same time i was teaching at Benning, natch), was immediately sent to Camp Hovey in Seoul, Korea as a Rifleman. he apparently was then sent to Camp Howze and assigned as a Rifleman and i guess qualified as a Radio man (2nd ID CAB is an AAB, and he lacks an air assault skill ID). after a while there. he became an automatic rifleman, which meant he qualified on carrying a SAW or being an ammo bearer.

he never got any special training or washed out of it (ASI 00 = not qualified for a special skill, and should be 2A for an MP and 2B for Air Assault).

he ETS'd afterwards never doing shit at the front besides staring at the Norks and jerking off to K-pop idols while playing a magazine or arsenal guard or something. the closest he got to being an MP was probably when a drunken fight needed to be broken up and losers were asked by the MPs to crack some heads at the local BBQ joint.

So, Ron is suing Raleigh County prosecutor Kristen Keller for, uh, prosecuting him. He was going to sue the state of West Virginia as well, but appears to have thought better of it. He is asking for $25 million. (What is it with cows and ridiculous demands in court?) He is representing himself, so you know that's going to go well.

As of 2016, he was po' according to his own legal statement, having no income save for a VA pension and Social Security disability. He was paying $500 a month in rent and had a cat. He owed a lot of money on credit cards, far more than his meager income would readily support.

I am still looking for public records indicating the reason for his arrest, but in his own lawsuit, he claims to have been involuntarily incarcerated at William Sharpe Hospital on psychological grounds. This also made the local news. Under 18 USC § 922 g) 4), that is enough to prohibit his ownership of a firearm after the commitment. His stupid video in which he shows off his gun is therefore a gift to the prosecution, provided they can establish that the video was taken after he was committed.

The criminal complaint is better. It contains both the firearms transaction record on which he perjured himself, and the proof of that perjury in the form of the court order committing him involuntarily to a mental hospital.

So, what about him suing his former prosecutor for $25 million? I have stuff on that too!

The prosecutor has made a motion to dismiss the suit and has filed a memorandum of law in support of that motion. An actual lawyer can summarize better, but my TL;DR is: She's covered by absolute and qualified immunity; the complaint and claims fail to meet the requirements of Twombly and Iqbal, vottever DOT minnz; statute of limitations expired anyway so you lose, sucker.

Ron filed a counter-motion and a memorandum of law. TL;DR: Nuh-UH!

I do invite actual legal commentary, though. I dunno shit.

Edit 2: Oh, and it gets better.

Ron took @AnOminous 's very good advice and lawyered the hell up. However, it probably won't save him.

He's being held without bail until trial because "the Court found by clear and convincing evidence that the defendant is a danger to others and the community". The minutes of the relevant hearing are pretty dry, but they do convey that several videos were introduced into evidence against him. These are almost certainly Ron's YouTube videos.

That's not all they had, though. They presented a 2013 transcript of Ron talking to a guy wearing a wire when he was in jail. Choice excerpts of his paranoid bullshit below:

Edit 3: As Ron continued to try to get bail, the prosecution finds more and more tasty lulz from his past which argue against letting him out, and they put these into the public record.

The latest tidbit is a transcript of Ron Collins' 2013 hearing on a bond reduction and a motion to dismiss. Instead of either, he earned himself a psych eval, and if you read this transcript you'll see why.

It starts off well enough for him. The prosecution agrees to dismiss the child porn charges, not because they think he didn't do it, but because they think it's a case for the feds. Ron's lawyer argues that his prior statements were within the limits of free speech, and implied no actual threats. The prosecutor disagrees at length, but the defense notes that Ron has done nothing violent in all of his time making big statements.

And then shit gets real stupid.

But didn't his lawyer advise against this? Why, yes. Yes, he did.

And it's on.

First, he reassures the court that his previous psych evals are spot on, and that he is a violent badass:

Does he heed this hint? No.

So, in a bond reduction hearing, it can be important to establish that the defendant has close ties to the community and is not a flight risk. Ron proceeds to argue the opposite:

It's also good to establish that you have someplace to stay if you are released. I won't excerpt all of it, but he says he's homeless, then names two people he could stay with but doesn't know their home addresses and doesn't have permission to stay with them.

His lawyer tries frantically to repair the damage at the end, but his bail wasn't reduced.
