As a little kid I used to like the show a lot but more for its surrealist imagery and simple storytelling than anything else, I just don't see Rugrats as it is working in the 2018 world, amidst PC culture, ADHD kid audiences of today, pedophilia accusations and conspiracy nutters. Too much cutesy baby humor to attract older audiences, and the dreams and imagination spots can get too weird for some people.
