I'm not sure if this belongs here, but I sorta want other people to look at this youtube channel. It feels like an undiscovered Chris-Chan I just stumbled upon. This really isn't someone you might laugh at, just a really obscure person that fascinated me.

I first discovered this channel when I was checking out a program called OpenToonz and searching for some tutorials on how to use it. This video, "OpenToonz Sucks" caught my attention. At the time it had 2,259 views, which was one of her more viewed videos on her channel.

The first thing that I noticed about the video was how cheaply made it was, using royalty free music and some very basic preset transitions. And then I saw what she was working on, a female archer. Obviously, it's not professional, but the anatomy was clearly using geometric tools and straight lines in a primitive program rather than using the paint tool in OpenToonz. Her example for an animation is very basic, only using 2d transform keys, or ignoring things like onion skins that makes the movement in the animation smoother, and having the torso of the body of the archer in a static position. Her speech pattern is a bit off too, with a couple of stutters, mispronunciation of words, or slurring of words.

I first want to say that the channel owner is apparently is an elderly woman as shown in this video. She clearly has some kind of condition, although I don't want to elaborate on that, but we all know what it is.

I'm not seeing how she's a lolcow in the first place, much less thread-worthy.

Yeah, she's a bit odd, but harmless and inoffensive. If she's on the autism spectrum, that's not reason enough to post about her. She seems to do her art, keep her blog, and make videos mostly to please herself, and maybe meet like-minded folks online. She's not declaring herself a great genius, or demanding recognition, or stirring up conflict; she's just doing her own thing.

tl;dr: Not a lolcow.

She has that autistic way of speaking so I'm pretty sure she's moderately high on the spectrum. But I don't see any chimpouts or events that show her to be anything other than a little eccentric.

Sped artists, even really bad sped artists, are not inherently cows and attempts to hook them up to the milking machine only ever makes their harmless goofy content dry up.

It'd be cool have a place to share and discuss that kind of thing, but probably not here. I had some time to check out a few of her videos today. Watched a few of her Unicorn with an Attitude vids, her sense of humor is actually pretty normal, and got a chuckle out of me by how it was presented.

One thing that surprised me (and shouldn't have really) was that she's been making these animations since at least 1995, and mentioned in one of the videos she was taking a flash animation class in some community college in 2002, so I'm left assuming she's been doing it this whole time.

However, assuming again that she's uploaded the majority of her content to YouTube (which I have no way of telling) she hasn't really been making that many or spending THAT much time doing these since we are talking about a 20+ year timeline, which makes it seem like a small side hobby and less funny (or sad) than if it were some kind of all-consuming obsession with becoming the next big top dog animator.

She is probably somewhat autistic, her mannerisms and interests seem to suggest so, but not someone I'd ever feel comfortable "M.ilking" like some of the other more obnoxious cows on here, but I am glad that I found her, she's kinda interesting and I will probably observe from a distance by checking out her videos for a while before losing interest and moving on.
