What is Samosbor?
Samosbor is a universe, started by one innocuous post in a "bugurt-thread" on the Russian image-board 2ch.
Anons liked the idea, situation and atmosphere presented by the post VERY much and the thread turned into posts in the same vein as it. This is how the universe of Samosbor was born.
Samosbor canon
First and foremost, the Samosbor universe has no actual continuity, meaning anyone can add their own story/greentext/fanfiction/visual novel/game to expand the universe further. "The "lore" of Samosbor is the lack of lore, the flexibility and freedom of thought is one of the legs on which the universe stands." The only requirement is that your work follows established rules, which are detailed below.
There are three major aspects which you must keep in mind while exploring the universe:
The setting itself features many concepts and terms that you must understand before starting.
Aside from letting loose a host of various hellbeasts, a Samosbor brings its own set of pain.
2ch Samosbor OC
To finish the OP off, I'll dump a few pieces of art and a few threads.
I'll also be regularly translating and posting various Samosbor posts. Users are encouraged to post their own OC, as that is the entire point of Samosbor.

There are three major aspects which you must keep in mind while exploring the universe:
Complete and total hopelessness – everyone and anyone can die during any moment of their life, and that is a fact that everyone must face.
Absurdity bordering on nonsense - every aspect of life in the Samosbor universe is a caricature of modern society (or society in general).
The MC's complete defenselessness - the MC of any particular story will most likely die, having not changed or done much at all.

Gigacommieblock - a poorly-kept high-rise panel-type apartment building. Stretches infinitely in all directions. Keeps getting built and rebuilt, no one knows by whom. There are no windows, and if there are, only the neighboring block (a part of the building that connects with your part somewhere above and below) can be seen from them. Streets are inside the building. There are doubts on whether or not a world beyond the building exists.
Bionet - aka Neuronet, etc. The Gigacommieblock's version of the Internet and the main way of communication.
Samosbor - event of unknown nature and origin, affects a large amount of floors. Ony affects the hallways and stairwells, cannot get into living spaces if the hermetic doors are closed. The warning system activates the alarm siren whenever a Samosbor is about to happen (usually about 3 to 5 minutes before it begins). Deadly, anyone caught by the Samosbor has no chance of survival. The Samosbor can last from anywhere between 10 minutes to not ending st all. The time between Samosbors can also vary, as a Samosbor can happen from anywhere between half an hour to a month after the previous one. No one has ever lived to tell the tale of how a Samosbor looks like, but everyone knows what one sounds like. The sounds one may hear during a Samosbor vary from quiet scratches and whistles to loud explosions and what seems to be human screams.
Hermetic doors - must be locked from the inside. Cannot be opened until the liquidators have completely "disinfected" the floor. If the door doesn't work properly, the Samosbor will affect your living space too.
Liquidators - organization that liquidates the Samosbor's "aftereffects". Are equipped with defense suits (protect only against the "aftereffects", not the Samosbor itself), gas masks and various equipment, including combat weaponry; if the floors are wide enough, they bring in armored vehicles. May break through hermetic doors and take citizens away. Take orders from somewhere above, punishment for disobedience is execution. Death rate is scarily high, ranks are constantly filled in by volunteers.
Concrete foam - the liquidators' primary weapon. They use special weaponry to fire it at the creatures that the Samosbor spawns. Concrete foam will slow and potentially kill the things created by a Samosbor if it hits, but is less effective against living things. Concrete foam can also be used to seal off certain rooms or, worst case scenario, floors that have been completely lost to a Samosbor.
Scientists - study something in their labs that are randomly placed around the floors, do not tell other citizens about the results. Create new systems of hermetic doors, gas mask filters, defense suits. Are guarded by liquidators.
Elevators - sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. The fear of getting stuck in an elevator during a Samosbor forces the citizens to use the stairs.
Food - protein concentrate (paste), dispensed in harshly controlled rations. Not every floor has a dispenser. The rumors of protein concentrate being made from people have no basis in reality. Any other provisions are from grandpa's old stash.
Subhumans - (presumably) differ from other creatures in that they look the same as humans. They may assume the identity of your friends, your family members or even your own. If you meet them, avoid speaking, avoid visual contact, hide between your hermetic door as soon as possible, call liquidators to the floor by phone. Presumably the voices that beg you to open the door in situations where doing so isn't recommended belong to subhumans.
Other creatures - Presumably pour out from every hole, even directly from the walls. Remain on the floors after a Samosbor and are heroically exterminated by liquidators among other "aftereffects". Accounts of abilities and appearance differ, many believe that they are made up by the liquidators to hide the truth.

Mold, slime on the walls - perhaps connected to the Samosbor. No proof of it being infectious, but you can't convince the liquidators.
Black slime - the secretion of black slime from physiological openings is the sign of irreversible changes to the organism.
Purple or violet smoke - presumably of organic origin. One of the reasons why the liquidators wear gas masks.
Mutants - those caught by a Samosbor turn into monsters who seek to kill/infect living beings.
