It's national sandwich day at Subway... buy a sub plus drink/chips... they give you a free sub to eat later.. plus the Italian BMT is the sub of the day today, which means you can get it for $3.50.

I also got a sandwich for 3.50 today. BBQ pork bánh mì with lightly pickled vegetables served on a crusty homemade baguette that almost made me cry from the joy of being alive and eating this sandwich.

Little hole in the wall shop that checked all the right boxes; vaguely unfriendly employees, sketchy part of town, cash only, and absolutely flawless sandwich execution.

There's a school that makes the best damn tuna and chicken salad (not together!) sandwich I ever had. I don't even go to that school anymore and I still stop by to get a sandwich.
