A little context: In the BenTheLooney thread, an artist named SB99 was brought up as a friend of Ben's and a potential lolcow. Much like Ben, who initially appears to be just another failed YouTube ranter all it takes is a look at his/her/its gallery (archived). Notice the copious amount of fetish art and fan art centered around the Nickelodeon show, The Loud House; it seems all the weirdos of the web are coming out to support this show, especially considering the creator's "creative" track record.

I think the root of the issue is Savino himself- he got his start as an inbetweener for both John K. and Ralph Bakshi. And for some strange reason, he seems to be channeling all that into The Loud House. Which is both a blessing and a curse, if you ask me.

However, that doesn't excuse SB99, he somehow manages to make the smut he draws stiff as fuck (as befitting of most of the cartoons he likes, but still). And it makes me wonder if Ben himself isn't a pedophile himself, given that's all he seems to showcase on his "show".

The Loud House sums up everything wrong with the Western cartoon community (and a bit of the anime community).
Poorly done art, shit characters, pedophilia-levels of insanity, and a whole lot more.
I haven't watched a lot of these newer Western cartoons, but from what I've seen with The Loud House, it looks like it's wanting to be an anime (slice of life genre), but falls flat in general. Can anyone support this claim?

You probably never hear of it in normal circles online because animation entusiasts usually follow shows for early teens all up to adult cartoons, with action and wink wink jokes, from Wander over yander to Rick and morty; a normal adult would find this show quite boring.
But these are not normal adults. Usually those obsessed with cartoons for little children are either pedos or autistic or both. Loud House and Murphy's Law especially have small but insanely concentrated of :autism: fandoms, like a very niche version of bronies.

I caught a few episodes out of curiosity's sake before becoming a semi-regular watcher (I'll admit it). The jokes get surprisingly more "wink-wink" by late season 1/beginning of season 2. And you can tell Savino used to work on stuff like R&S simply due to the humor at times. But on the whole, it's one of those shows mostly geared towards kids (like 90% of animation in general).

Yeah - I'm not gonna lie to you guys to avoid being called autistic around here... I like this show (yeah, I admit it.). However, all of this fucking "fan art" it generates is extremely embarrassing and rather hate - worthy, knowing a majority of it truly qualifies as nothing more than child porn.

Spoiler: Slight sperging, unfortunately.

I'll admit that for a current - gen Nicktoon (90% of which turn out rather crappy and/or forgettable in every sense possible - if you're not the target demo who eats this stuff up, of course.), I like the art - style and its rather comfortable in its writing / characterizations / how it handles both - even if it isn't all that funny (overall), and has to rely on sentimental and heartwarming moments to get by in any sense, due to being so lacking so much in humor or originality.

In terms of lacking in humor - the comedy is rather boring, especially early on, from what I've watched. It gets better (e.g.: a little more clever & daring to aim some small bits at adult viewers) in late Season 1 and continues throughout Season 2, but it's nothing truly laugh out loud funny in any real sense, honestly.

In terms of lacking in originality, a lot of the setups for episodes are quite fucking predictable, plus the only original angle here is the family being so large and full of girls - and not much else that we haven't seen employed in thousands of other shows before - and eventually after it, as well. In fact, it seems like the only real draw are the 10 girls (and numerous others littered throughout the show) - similar to a certain other show these kinds of autistic folk obsess over like it's the best thing ever (when it otherwise just... isn't.).

In short, a decent enough (but ultimately rather middling) cartoon for children to distract themselves with - at least IMHO... That has too much smut attached to it by obsessed twats desperately looking for more cartoons to cater (e.g.: PANDER) to them, like Social Justice Universe does, honestly.).

Still more watchable than Savino's "work" on something like Kick Buttowski or that dam pony show everyone sadly & stupidly gushes over, anyway.

Also, as for the people (especially those on subject) who obsess over it like this guy tends to do (and BenTheLooney, whom highlighted this guy)? Yeah - I definitely can't stand them and they deserve to be featured here for all to see just how much their obsession with kids shows (especially like this one - which admittedly has a small but noticeable adult following if you know where to look - and it's recommended that one shouldn't if wanting to avoid being exposed to this nonsense.) is making them failures at producing actual art worth a damn, to be brutally and critically honest about him, and those like alike.

I mean, it's an alright enough cartoon - I won't lie about that (at least IMHO, of course), regardless - just another case (as per usual) of the internet taking something too far and not seeing the obvious truth that they who likely be a niche audience are truly no better than the ponyfags, no matter how much they try to hide and/or deny it, making it deserve the hate it gets from most people around here. I don't blame you guys for doing so, either.
